CC :: Derbyshire v Durham

Let's have a bit of patience over how the game stands.

Today was clearly Derbyshire's day but until we bat,it's to be seen if it was decisive

Definitely. Plus, we know from the very recent past that even when you're 100/1 with the bookies you can still win.

It is frustrating though, when you insert a side and only take 4 wickets on Day One. Two weeks running.

I know our batting is suspect and first innings isn't our forte, but I do think today we'd have scored decent runs - that pitch is FLAT.

Why does Colly keep doing this?

It's properly baffling.

Can regular readers remember when he last won a toss and immediately had us on the front foot? Cause as I alluded to earlier, I can remember loads where it's had the opposite effect.

Agreed. I never like to bat second, anytime personally but colly knows the game inside out and fancied that something was there.

Weighell had it swinging, but wood is not a swing bowler and to be honest, I wonder the last time wood took a new ball in a four day game? Must be a few years.

From watching the stream, it looked a road, so it makes collys decision difficult to understand.

Rimmington hasn't bowled today, hope he isn't injured aswell - the other seamers have got through much more work than he.

350-6 - Wood and Colly with the two wickets to fall. 15 overs to get them 9 down for that 3rd bowling point.

Viljoen lbw b Collingwood 9. 360-7

Fantastic bowling all morning from Colly, swinging it both ways, constantly beating the bat - much deserved reward there.

Word of note too: Derby have a very decent looking attack - Viljoen, Olivier, Palladino & Rampaul.

393-7 (110 overs)

Only two bowling points for us, four batting for them - interestingly, needed 8 off the 110th over to get maximum batting points, they never even went for it......

It was a good over from Weighell though.

Not sure if this is right but it looks like Weighell is bowling faster the Wood ... it could be an illusion since he's taller and so gets more bounce and carry.

Durham 51-1.

Markram didn't look happy with that decision, I don't think he hit it either. It's now Tea.

51-2, Smith plays on first ball after Tea. f***ing horrific dismissal.

Had a word with Mark Wood between innings. Rimmington is sick rather than injured. Got the two bob bits apparently
