James Hunter Interview with Bain......

So during the interview Bain mentions the sale of Vito Mannoné for £2m that enabled HIM to buy 9 players .....Really Mr Bain. This is the man we should now all be concentrating our effort on to give him so much shit that he will want away as soon as possible. This bloke seems, from the interview with Nick Barnes, (who really should have asked him if he was selecting players to come in ,not the manager) is a third class bullshitter and should be hounded night and day.

14 players to be signed on free transfers on I reckon £5k a week. That's 70k a week so we need to cut the wage bill down even further. With the players we have leaving who are out of contract and the loan players going back that would probably be just about feasible. Even with Short at the helm we should piss League 1 tbf. If only we had a manager who could motivate the fuckers

:lol::lol::lol:

Less - average league 1 pay is £2k/week.

Too scared :D What is Short going to do? Run away and never speak to him again?

You can blame Bain, but he's fulfilling his role as agreed with the owner. If the owner gave him and us more money, he'd be doing it differently. Bain has still made some mistakes with player recruitment and how he's done it, but the vast, vast majority of the blame at this stage for the last 2 years rests with Ellis Short.

He could well be scared to say anything worthwhile to Short incase he gets the boot, he's the eyes and ears of the club now and should be looking forward incase the club isn't sold, instead he likes to tell everyone that his communication with Short is limited....it's not f***ing good enough and it looks to me like he's covering his own back by not pushing the matter of relegation to Short and what plans he and Coleman can put in place...a contingency plan for relegation should have been sorted out months ago!

Short is definitely the main figure to blame here but Bain has done nothing to warrant any reprieve from the incompetence either.

The sad reality is Bain has not an earthly idea what he is doing.

The strategy, if no takeover, appears to be keep the life support machine beeping. Selling the club is now an absolute and immediate priority. Without a sale we are absolutely knackered. He’s doing his job and being paid handsomely to be the pantomime baddy but he also has to grease the wheels for the sale and I hope he’s giving Short the guidance he needs to get this club in new hands so we can plan properly for next season.
It’s the hope that hurts

Can someone copy-paste the article please? Can't read the chronicle website on my gen1 iPad, it crashes the browser.

It's sounds to me that we need a new owner or we are fucked!
Having read through this I agree with this actually. It's clear who's court the ball's in. Bain is essentially saying Short needs to sell-up and fuck off and if he doesn't do that at some point he's going to have to commit to a plan whether he likes it or not.

Must be a nightmare to work with in fairness.

there must be a slight conflict of interest here though if its all on him / his job to sort out a sale.

As any buyer is going to terminate his employment as soon as the club's in new ownership

He will be undoubtedly incentivised to sell it.

He is the man with all the solutions and no blame according to that full Bain self promotion marketing article.

He is a charlatan that hasn’t got a clue.
