It is tbf

This is true, a half arsed bunch of former PL players should make the top 6 imo, these are cowards and the keeper situation is more to blame than out else. If we'd had a decent keeper and one other solid CB we would have made the playoffs, those early season fuck ups by the back line and late goals set the whole team back in the same mode as last season. f***ing cowards earning a kings ransom, fuck them.

coleman out

Aye like it’s al Coleman’s fault. Players who choose to get pissed on match days or people like Kone who doesn’t even try. No budget or forward thinking from our absent, don’t give a fuck arrogant owner who hasn’t even spoken to the manager of the club he owns and consequently half fit half interested and past it players make up the squad he has to choose from. Coleman isn’t blameless but isn’t to blame.

Am I right in thinking it's better (financially) that we go down? The money for staying up is not that great but we can take that parachute money, plus the takeover money, clear the decks and come straight back up!
I'm as sick as the rest of you that we yet again, undid anything good we created. Bent scoring..has he scored at all this season?

It's certainly no worse. The FFP rules restrict you to wages being 60% of turnover, but you can exclude players who signed long term deals before the start of this season from it. Factor in the parachute, and our wage cap will be higher than most clubs turnover. For transfers, anything over 0 is a huge budget in that league. We should be able to attract the best players available on frees by offering a little bit more than other teams can, and still be paying them a fifth of what a lot of our current players are earning.

Thinking it through, regardless of lack of funds, the way he has set them out, his tactics, subtitutions, motivation skills. Coleman can fuck off and we'll start again. All bar McNair, Asoro and Maja, Honeyman and Watmore can disappear. New owners should find it easy with our fanbase o at least turn the ship around, maybe no march back to the top flight but we don't belong as a club in League 1, but our management and playing staff (most of them) don't deserve involvement in Sunday League. Just fuck right off.

McCarthy is about to take over and lead us back to the glorious Championship.

I despise this squad of players.

They don't deserve to be watched in my opinion.

Would be good to see no one turn up again this season.

I packed in a few weeks back, fwiw I thought our lot sounded canny today all things considered. Respect to all those who still turn out, I've served my time when it comes to ball kicking lows, still looking forward to the first game of next season in a mental kind of way. ITHICS

Well, I said at the start of the season that Burton were better equipped to stay up than us and so it proves.

Being sent down by Burton with Darren Bent scoring - my lowest point as a Sunderland supporter.

We need new owners for a fresh start right now. If Short is still at the club at the beginning of next season we will drop again.

Plastic supporter. Get behind us no matter what. That's a FAN

Dark days ahead. But we have been there before although the financial side of things is much worse this time. If a rich buyer could be found in the next few weeks and Short and Bain leave we could start re-building the club in league 1 and move forward and up again. If not, I think we are heading for league 2.
Yes we have been here before, but not with a shower like this lot. Team of losers.
