Going to the theatre yes or no

get yourselves to The Royalty Theatre, might even see a certain SMBer on stage ;)

Did a few things there back in the late 90s, lots of fun, some really good people. Sang Heartbreak Hotel dressed in a vulture costume night after night for the panto one year.

Back on the main topic, not a fan of musicals and actively loathe some of them (I'd rather have ebola than watch Les Miserables) but do love a good play. Went down to London just to see The Ferryman last year, and it was brilliant.

Yes. Really enjoy it.

I'm 2 hours from london on the train, so me and missus (no) often have a day out there, 7am train, get there for 9, a big breakfast to set us up for the day, an exhibition in the morning, couple of drinks, matinee, couple of drinks and 7.30pm train home.

Saw The Birthday Party a couple of weeks ago. Didn't have a clue what was going on in the 2nd act but still enjoyed it.

Paid £34 for 2 gin and tonics before the show and another 2 in the interval

Before the Lion King I paid £12 for a slush and a bottle of water...fkn wounded.

That's one thing over here they don't rip you off at big events such as this.

No to musicals. Definitely contemporary ones. But I do like going to see plays. David Tennant last year in Don Juan in Soho was tremendous. And I saw a live screening of Macbeth with Christopher Eccleston last week. He was a bit one note for me. Must try harder, Chris. :)

That Macbeth was turd like. Naimh Cusak wss like she was in amdram, and what the fuck was that endless digital clock about?

1/5.
