Sunglasses

Always just buy cheapey ones as I'm fairly careless and clumsy but now I'm a big boy I fancy treating myself to some proper fancy ones. Been looking at Oakleys (cue lols at saying they are fancy) but can anyone recommend some better makes/models? Be looking to spend 100-150 smackerooneys.
Cheers.

I must say my marra cheap sunnies imho are a bit of a false economy

Years I bought shitty pairs from various high street shops and they were binned lost and broke

Purchased a pair of ray ban wayfarers and I’ve had them years

They make incredibly stylish sunglasses too

I’d be willing to bet a pack of spangles that they don’t actually make them at all, they get some producer, probably in China, to make them and they stamp their name on them.

So I always say, if you’re going to pay the extra markup for a name brand, be it watches, sunglasses, claes, footwear or whatever, at least pay that to a company that is famous for actually making that item otherwise you really are just paying for the name. Mind you seem happy with what you got and you can’t argue with happiness, but I would never buy sunglasses from a shoemaker (Gucci, Prada) or watches from a clothes designer (Lauren, Michael Kors, Gucci again) etc etc.

like the raybans me, I've had them 6 years and they are still decent, have to tighten then up sometimes, but they will last for as long as I want them

love sunglasses mind, would buy more if I could afford

decent them

I hate aviators. They remind me of Top Gun.
You shut your dirty mouth!
Top Gun - Maverick out next year. I feel the need for speed!

Beware of those Persol 649s. They are popular cos of the Steve McQueen connection but they are HUGE! I got a pair of the smaller ones and they still looked was on me so I gave them to our lass as she has a basketball heed and they suit her fine.

You’re right but the mental trauma of sitting on a pair of sunglasses that cost £10 vs £120 has been worth it - will we be parading then in Vegas in just over 3 weeks

Christ is it sheep o'clock? Wayfarers and Aviators ffs.

Rayban Clubmaster for the discerning gent.

Hipster bellend.

Wayfarers are no nonsense sunglasses. They’re not poncy, they’re not flash, they suit any style, they’re comfortable and they fold up into a small case so they’re easier to carry around.

Perfect for grandads.

#clubmasters look sensational and if anyone on this thread tries to say blocking out the sun is their main and primary aim of wearing sunglasses they are liars.

A grown man describing sunglasses as “sensational.”

Welcome to 2018.

I got some £110 quid Armani ones from Debenhams but they are shit tbh.

Only got them cos they looked cool as f with white eagle logo on each side of arms

Got a pair of unbranded cheapies for £20 which are better
