There’s a bar called “The Sportsman” just off Sukhumvit Road which is quality for sports. About 30 TV’s, cheap beer, pool tables, darts, pinball. Can’t go wrong.

The Derby County game was on last week but I missed it as I was outside of Manila. You get a better selection of games now in some bars because of the internet streams and increased bandwidth in the big cities. If we go down again we are sure to be on during the international breaks. Probably the only upside to be honest.

I'm in Manila myself until Monday. Will be in H & J (Heckle) tonight with a couple of other red n whites trying to get the Leeds game on via a stream. Unlikely but the bar manager does his best for us. I work in international development, moving to Bangkok to take up a regional role.

I'm in Borocay for a long weekend. I work for another airline so thought there might be a connection. Hope it turns out to be a good win tonight anyway.

The President of Philippines announced a couple of days ago that he's going to shut the island down completely for 6 months in 2 weeks time. Give it a spring clean. Good for the environment but a problem for the thousands of people who rely on tourists for day to day basic living. Interesting, though i guess its getting a bit off theme for this message board :)
