American sport films

Any Given Sunday is probably close to how the NFL was behind the scenes when it was released.

Friday Night Lights - the series is class from start to finish and includes some absolutely stunning lasses (Minka Kelly in particular).

As mentioned, Youngblood and Slap Shot are class, Goon well worth a watch.

Not a movie, but The last Gladiators on Netflix about 80s hockey enforcers in the NHL is amazing, and a newer one called Ice Outlaws or something similar is class too.

Pleased someone mentioned We Are Marshall.. good film, even with Matthew mcconaghy in it

invincible is also a good one, about a bartender in Philadelphia that went to an open try out for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 70s, typical schmoozy Disney movie but pretty good

Also The Rookie starring Dennis Quaid, about a school teacher that decided to try out for baseball .. both really good lazy Sunday movies

When I was younger I used to love Paradise Alley...it's a Sly Stallone film based in the 40s and his brother becomes a wrestler. Haven't seen it in absolutely ages mind, so god knows how it will seem today!

I'm a sucker for them, I am.

From comedies like Major League, Caddyshack and Happy Gilmore to jock movies/shows like Blue Mountain State to off-field dramas like Moneyball or Draft Day through to tearjerkers like Field Of Dreams and Jerry Maguire, I love it all.

Just watched the remake of The Longest Yard, have got myself a copy of the original, and about to stick on Any Given Sunday.

What are your favourites?

I'm like you mate.

Last boy scout
Remember the titans
Might ducks

Ballers (tv series)

I watched 'My All American' a few weeks ago - I thought it was pretty good.

I do like 'Field of Dreams' - I sometimes daydream about having my own cricket pitch! And anything with James Earl Jones in it has to be worth watching.
