I am not surprised. I stayed in his hotel in York a few years ago and he had a load of football memorabilia on a wall on a staircase leading to private quarters. There was much more Derby stuff than there was ours.
 
His vested interest in some of the players at the club makes his opinions virtually worthless anyway. He rarely watches Sunderland games, rarely provides any critical analysis of player or manager performance, criticises supporters in a fashion that suggests he’s massively out of touch and now broadcasts his wishes for us to lose...

Obviously a good player for Sunderland but not at all a relevant voice on all things SAFC
