Cheating Aussie B******s

Wasn't there a big stink recently-ish with Aussie batsmen taking an excessive amount of time to decide on referring a decision which was giving their dressing room time to watch the tv replay then signalling whether to review of not.

Yes, Kohli called Smith our on it last year

Smith’s choice of words then are quite interesting

I was looking up at our boys. I shouldn’t have done that,” he said. “Obviously I got hit on the pad and looked at Pete [Handscomb], Petey sort of said look up there. It’s the first time it’s happened.”

It would have been less obvious if Atherton was doing the tampering surely.Dust v dirt.Whatever it was.
I dont mean the person doing it specifically. I mean what he is using. Putting dust/dirt directly on the ball is little different from spinners having constantly dirty hands from rubbing them in footholes

I can remember an incident where Smith was caught looking to the balcony for guidance but i'm not sure when it was or who it was against.

The reaction is so over the top like, its a 1 game ban offence!

This is not me defending them in the slightest, because as I said its bigger news because of how they have behaved for 2 years, they are a disgrace

I saw it happen, thought it would be a big story, but I am amazed of how big it has become

Cheating is always taboo, but with regards to ball tampering, it happens a lot, I guess this is premeditated

I am slighly suspect of Smith's story, as I think he had no idea it would get this reaction, lets wait and see

They were reversing it a lot during the Ashes like, I put that down to their extra speed, who knows now though, maybe they have been doing it for a long time?

It shouldn't be

It shouldn't be

Yeah but that's what it is, South Africa's captain has had 2 bans

Its the current climate that has led to the reaction

But as I say, their behavior has gone downhill by the month under Lehman, they are out of control and nobody inside Australia's team or management can see that

The comments by Lehman and Warner in this series just defy belief.

I think the Aussies have deep psychological problems, they need help.
They should send the fuckers to see the fuckin shrinks.
They seem to have the need to portray this uncompromising hard man approach, that they're tougher than anyone else.
Smith and Warner typify this.
A lot of it is simply false and as has been proven in the past, when enough pressure is applied they crumble like everyone else.
This isn't new though, they've basically always been a set of classless (unts for years.

Can't wait for the promised Cricket Australia statement tomorrow, after their preliminary investigation.

It's still gripping. Like OJ all over again.

Candice Warner having a go at Vaughan for chuckling at the Aussies crying about getting stick in SA

Starc had it reversing a fair bit in the first test of this series

Absolutely

problem when you cheat once, everyone will suspect every test now

Interesting that was a SA commentator who told the cameras to follow the ball as he thought something was going on, he said it took only an hour and a half to catch it

Plus the daily Mail saying Warner used his strapping which was laced in substances to alter the ball, then SA complained and that is when Bancroft became the ball shiner.

I mean it doesn't look good

I think it's the logical extension of where that team in particular have been steering test cricket. People have been uneasy about it for a while but now what many have suspected has been confirmed it's an indication of the extent to which one of the major powers in the sport are warping a game which has always stood as a byword for fair play and integrity.

Australia have long been a test case for "hard but fair" and pushed questionable limits to many, but this latest generation calls into question just how far you can go without cricket losing its soul.

That was Smith but of course he has never cheated before ......Yeah right!! :p

Candice Warner is like her husband such an arrogant bitch her shit doesn't stink. Apart from being the town bike on the NSW rugby league circuit ,allegedly.

Warner has been ball tampering for years ,why would you wear sticking player on your palm to protect a thumb you broke years ago . They switched to Bancroft once the Saffas tumbled it and told their tv producers to watch Warner like hawks .
No way would you get the Aussie tv producers showing him up in OZ, so he's had a free hand, brings the Ashes result into question .
The Aussies aren't the only ones doing it but it's their holier than thou attitude that pisses me off .
There was a day when you weren't allowed anything on your bowling hand or arm but that seems to have gone by the board .

The bit about Warner in your last para is probably true, which is why I am on the fence about what punishment they receive

There is absolutely no chance this can be the first time, the cameras were on Warner due to complaints from SA, they switched to the inexperienced Bancroft, who did it really poorly and was caught

The Telegraph are saying Lehman resigns and 12 month cricket bans for Smith and Warner

What is everybody's opinions on that?

I'll add that this is f***ing hilarious and I hope they do get banned for that long, but it sounds way over the top to me

Obviously the difference is if they can prove its being going on for longer, which might come out in the investigation

I think its fair enough. They cheated and to say everyone else does the same is no defence.
