Couldn't get my son there today, doesn't want anything to do with the club, I fear we may be losing a hell of a lot of young fans.

That will be the trouble going forward for the club, the support will have been lost for the upcoming supporters. They don't want to be put through that every week, can't blame them to be honest.

My 13 year old who loved going hasn’t been to the last few and has totally lost interest. It really is fecking tragic.

We will be, my dad wouldn’t have had it any other way when I was a bairn like but at least then we were semi decent under Reid.

With the current lot how can you convince a bairn to love a team with all the social media etc pushing them towards good players and good football.

Would you want to put your child through something like this?

f***ing sick of the club at the minute

Been taking my lad since he was 6 and not that bothered about football. In the last 2 years he's really got into the game but every time we watch Sunderland together he has to endure watching an awful team, making fundamental errors and lacking any level of fight. It also puts his Dad in a horrible, horrible mood.

Needless to say, but we are not 'his' club now he's older... he's more interested now in what he can see on the telly, without the miserable experience of a 200-mile round trip to a distant city to which he has no personal connection, to watch shite.

We've lost him.... and no doubt thousands of others. One man has torn the heart and the future out of our football club and he's done so with no protest and almost no supporter rebellion at all. It's like a very bad dream.

And that is where the club stands now losing long term supporters with the next generation not wanting to watch the current shite this will only have a long term detrimental effect on the club
