NFL 2017

So Jets not signing Cousins, Robinson, Watkins, Norwell, Richberg and Burton. All guys who would fairly have improved them.

And still got £90m to spend. Gonna be some average players getting big money from us this season.

Teddy Bridgewater is Plan B it seems. Would assume that means drafting a QB as well.

With that much cap room maybe Ndamukong Suh to the Jets.

Kirk cousins to the Vikings on three year contract with $86 million guaranteed

This years Vikings should be easily the biggest test the Packers have had in Rodgers time as starter. Essentially a team without a weakness.

Aye, tbf Bridgewater plus a QB in draft is good (hoping we trade up at scared we left with Allen at 6).
Rest of team looks very weak though. Could change in next few days if we can get a CB or two secured, and a centre.

Good shout about Suh, still a good player.

And still expect the Packers (with Rodgers) to prevail. Don't think any QB elevates a team like he does.

What's happening with McCown? He had a good season last year and could easily be used as a bridge QB whilst youse develop a QB from the draft (all be it you'll probably get your 3rd/4th choice QB)

Talk we want Bridgewater in, and McCown and think about drafting a QB. Which means we draft Fitzpatrick at 6 probably....

Even if they do go QB, suspect they'll not have the balls to trade up, seems like a very, very conservative front office who're scared to actually make a move. To move up to 2/3 we'd have to likely give up our first, both seconds, a pick from next year and then some lower round stuff. McCagnan won't do that. He'll just draft Josh Allen at 6, and be mystified when he busts.

Not happy about this, I think Nelson would've been closer to himself with Rodgers back, Hundley couldn't get the ball to him, but I understand he's not as fast as he was. Would rather they cut Randall Cobb and move Nelson into the slot. Legitimate Packers legend, 3rd in team history for receptions, 5th in yards and 2nd in touchdowns.

Watch the f***ing Bears or Vikings sign him.

Jimmy Graham....let's hope he's what he was in New Orleans but seems like not much more than a red zone target these days.

Nailed it. McCown back to Jets for $10m for 1 year.

I find it hard to believe that Nelson has been cut. Wonder if there is unreported injury involved?

They only had $20m in cap room and Rodgers needs more money to move him in line with his worth. Plus we'll need to add at least 1 free agent defender. So to sign Graham they had to cut somebody, Nelson is 33 and did underperform last season, but he wasn't underperforming until Rodgers broke his collarbone.

Didn't realise he was 33.

Malcolm Butler to the Titans. Jets wanna do anything about those CBs or...

5-year contract worth more than $61M with more than $30M guaranteed apparently...

And Isaiah Crowell to the Jets

Is it a sort of transfer deadline day over the pond?

My NFL alerts have been going all day

Last day before free agency opens I believe so they're all lining up deals ready to go.

On a side note the whole concept of the draft is something I'd love to see incorporated into our football but it could never happen I guess as we just don't have the college sports established like they do.

That and salary caps would be two things that would be great for football but obviously both of them can't be brought in. With both of them any team you're a fan of even the Browns can win the superbowl in 2/3/4 years with a good GM and coach making the right decisions.
