Cinema on your own

Is it weird?
I done it once when Alien Covenant came out for the midnight screening.

When I went to pick my seat online it was showing as nearly full, all couples but the back row was still empty bar one seat that was taken right in the middle.

I decided to put myself next to that person thinking that when it sold out at least I wouldn't be sitting in between two couples which would seem sad as fuck, and also anyone would think I was just there with this other person.

Got there early ish and took my seat. People started pouring in. Nobody in the back row. Then this gadgie walks in, middle aged, weird looking, sits down next to me.

Not another soul came and sat in the back row. I sat the whole film with this bloke with the rest of the row empty. Was canny weird but it would have been rude as fuck for me to move seats

Aye, so anyway Pix just find yourself someone to go with (surely you know someone - unless it's a shite fillum) or do not under any circumstances pick a seat next to another lone traveller.

Well I’ve decided I’m not going on my own. I’m gonna wait for it to come out on DVD, I don’t feel like I’m confident enough to go on my own! I’m a proper needy thing

I don't consider the pictures to be crap. But then I only go to the Tyneside Cinema which has a better clientele than most, the seats are great and only very rarely are other people irritating there. Also the wine is lovely. Yes, I'm a cinema snob. And I've just said cinema too.:lol:
i'll second everything about the tyneside cinema, bar the wine bit... but they've got the west brewery st mungo on tap anarl...

I've always found the rosé to be quite acceptable. But noticed they have a better selection of beers now. And, for my sins, dandelion and burdock too!!

Exactly. A more discerning crowd and nobody with stinky nachos... I favour the circle where possible, settees for 2 etc etc. I used to do some shifts there myself back in the 90s and the days of smelly oldies pissing themselves is long gone. Thankfully!
