Sunderland gentoo

3900 council houses demolished and only 1600 built ?!! One high councillor relative had contract for much of the demolition .. hmmmm
Been bent since they formed from pwd, thing is u have corruption if its public or private. Disgusting. Maybe central govt fault for not replacing social housing to the extent it should have been

Been all over the press, about millions paid out to former employees. Isn't there some report about to be published?

It was a voluntary redundancy programme to reduce costs mate. When people left, they were required to sign a settlement agreement (which is commonplace across both private and public sectors) that contained a confidentiality clause and ultimately protects the former employer. Sadly it’s being twisted as a gagging order.

I’ve seen a report mentioned on Facebook, but it’s just the usual suspects going on about it.

Giving a million to the deputy boss when he resigned does sound a bit dodgy, like.

As does doing 400,000 worth of work on his Durham (note, Durham, not Sunderland) house for free.
The CEO resigned after the deputy was paid, and the work wasn't £400. 000 on the deputy's it was in the CEO' house and the amount is undisclosed. The house is worth that amount.

Who is JD?
AD owned it, sons MD,GD. Daughter LD.
Hence MGL quarries and demolition after AD construction was no more after the council carry on.
Probe into ads for senior council jobs
That's JD, ex leader of Sunderland council

Comedy gold, the whole raggy arsed lot of them
The apprentice dipping concrete bunch of bastards :D

The "ploated the lad" was more than likely some "Billy" bullshit. I remember his flat-top and his phase of dying it jet black.

Did you work the Farringdon contract?

JH was a proper little no-mark mind. Tried to stitch me fatha up (because me Da knew everything he was in to) and me fatha put him owa the bonnet of his Peugeot van by his throat. Dad Leg is not a violent gadgie by any means. Jimmy shit his pants.
Jimmy couldn't do a full Cockburn's pork dip never mind have a fight .

They did get to buy Sunderland council's entire housing stock for basically a year's rental income. If they'd opened it up to competitive bidding instead of handing it over to a bunch of ex-council people in a fait accompli I'm sure they could have made more money for the council than that. There definitely would have been one or two higher bids like. Plenty of people would have agreed to maintain at least the standards/rents that Gentoo signed up to and would have offered more than a few thousand a property.
I think it was done bit by bit. seem to recall hylton castle having a vote. long time ago.
