Root will still end up our all time run scorer in tests and ODI’s and with the best average in t20i.

Kane is such a nice bloke ,he's boring. People don't turn up to watch nice blokes ,they much prefer a good old slanging match ,with a bit of controversy. Nothing wrong with that ,as long as it's kept within the boundaries.
Test cricket is still the only real international cricket but needs the T20 leagues to keep the broadcasters interested .
UK, Australia and India get the best crowds , ours here in NZ are embarrassing. Kiwis would rather play sport than watch it.
