Wrestling - Part 3

Go back to sleep.
So what point in time would you say was better than now for pure wrestling quality, SBC?
Absolutely this! Never been so good IMO.
People love to complain, but there's so much out there that's great. If you don't like what whichever promotion is offering, there's so many more great ones out there that are doing something different as well.
It's the best i've watched in my time, look at the women's stuff going on now and it has been my favourite work of the past month with Nia and Asuka etc.
Exactly. We're at a stage where a list of best wrestlers in the world can genuinely include women, when has that ever truly been the case?

It was a metaphorical and hypothetical scenario designed to get people to subscribe to this channel you dozy bugger!:lol:

You not watched a TV advert selling a product? It is what the tactic is now for selling a product. It is all part of the process designed to draw us to buying it. They like to have us believe an alternative product is not as good as this version and this version is somehow superior and a better choice. Doesn't mean the alternative is a more inferior option.

As a discussion point maybe the WWF in the 80's was very good. Whether it was better is up for further debate. We got to see the real greats in their prime. The LOD of 1992 I think would have been battered by The Road Warriors. I think maybe Hawk & Animal were better as The Road Warriors. As the Warriors' I think this is when they had their best success. We also had Tito Santana and not some Bull Fighter. The likes of Greg Valentine and Ric Flair were in their prime and enjoying some of the best fights. The Tag Team scene in the WWF was great I think with the likes of Demolition, The Colossal Connection, Hart Foundation and The British Bulldogs. I could go on.

It's the best i've watched in my time, look at the women's stuff going on now and it has been my favourite work of the past month with Nia and Asuka etc.

The last time we saw women's wrestling treated this well was back in the day. OK they maybe were relegated to lower down the running order and were treated more like sideshow novelties or something. But you cannot argue about the names. Wendi Richter, Fabulous Moolah, Lelani Kai (trained by Moolah) and Velvet McIntyre are all names that come to my mind without thinking. Would they do that if women's wrestling in the WWF in the 80's was largely forgotten?

I'll still say, it annoys me that the E are so obsessed with the women's revolution, when TNA actually started it. The E have built on it TBF, but they would claim a shit on a pavement if it looked like it could be a headline.

Very good little show. Tag match was total filler but the womens matches and elimination chamber were good. Also Rousey contract signing did it's job.

Alexa Bliss at the end of her match turning into a total bitch again after the waterworks was scary, and even more scary the fans still cheer

Thought it was the worst PPV in the past 12-18 months.
A contract signing segment was actually the best part of it, it was that bad.

Women's EC didn't flow well, Bayley looked nervous as hell at the start and the 2 Absolution members served zero purpose other than alot of downtime.
Tag match, not much to say.
Wyatt/Hardy was okay but the fans completely shit on it with beachballs and Rusev day chants, lack of interest in both, WWE creative have managed to kill off both characters in 1 feud, somehow.
Mens I didn't even dignify cos it was so obvious what was gonna happen but Elias is some heel :cool:

Seth/Roman feud rumoured to be happening after Mania.

I enjoyed the womens EC match. Bayley did look nervous at first but got into it. Absolution was obvious.

Skipped the tag match.

You're right about the Wyatt and Hardy feud. It needs a kick in the arse. Bray needs the family, I'd pair him up with Sanity from NXT. Matt needs House Hardy and start making segments from the Hardy compound again, and drop the woken thing and go full broken. Got a feeling they are waiting for Jeff to be back before they do something like this, thought he was going to appear when Matt start singing. The crowd is just not into it. The match was decent though, Hardy applauding Bray when he done that looking upside down thing was canny funny. Just went downhill from there though.

Did Trips have a little dig at Kenny Omega during the signing? Emphasising the word Elite.

Also rumours Seth could go to Smackdown with AJ going to Raw, I'd rather them both on SD myself.

Forshadowing, at current rate Omega should have all the matches he still wants to do in Japan within the next year....

I'm sure it was nothing, like, bet he watches being the elite, mind.

Shite PPV although I really enjoyed the Rousey segment, however it’s ridiculous her first match in WWE is clearly going to be against Stephanie McMahon .
