Wrestling - Part 3

Are WWE trying to get RKO's out of nowhere as a Meme again?

Tuesdays was even better than the 1 I said was top 2 the other week, beautiful :D

As per February 12 2018 Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

As far as Rousey goes, the key item not really talked about is the goals and a major reason why she is there from a company standpoint. All the different questions about her value to the company financially I’m told are secondary.

The key to Rousey is more about Stephanie McMahon, which is why they want that super high-profile match (and if they can get Johnson, it makes it even more high-profile). Stephanie McMahon is a big star in wrestling, but she is not a mainstream star at all. It was explained to me that the key in all this goes back to what made Vince McMahon a big star, which was the program with Steve Austin, and what made Steve Austin a breakthrough star past being a pro wrestling top guy, which was hardly an interview at King of the Ring or the WrestleMania match with Bret Hart, as legend has it, but the angle in Fresno with Mike Tyson.

Rousey is a major sports star. The idea that she was the single most searched female athlete in the U.S. on the Internet in 2017, a year she never competed and for the most part laid low in, speaks volumes. The idea for the program is to make Stephanie a star outside of just the pro wrestling world.

f***ing state of this.

Don't buy the Stephanie/Ronda news. why would Rousey agree to be brought in to be a tool for the McMahon's?. They are not perfect but his strikes me as another excuse to bash people who the fans don't like.

I think the article is exaggerated but the thing they're trying to point out is they're wanting to create a massive headline regarding Rousey.

At the end of the day there's only been 3 people to ever break a million in gate receipts in the UFC, 2 of them are now in the WWE. Lesnar created his massive headline when he ended The Undertaker's streak now they're looking for an angle for Rousey to do the same.

Think there is sense to your statement, I like to watch a couple of Youtubers who review Raw and Smackdown and Brian Zane was kicking off that she wasn't on Raw the night after. The problem with some wrestling fans is that they have no patience and in my opinion they are keeping their powder dry and she is probably still getting trained, Kurt Angle didn't become a great professional wrestler over-night.

The Strowman segment with Elias on Raw was brilliant. They need to put the belt on Strowman at Wrestlemania. Will get some pop if they do.

No more brand exclusive PPV's after Wrestlemania.

Ticketmaster website for buying tickets such as Backlash have a disclaimer all the PPV's are dual-brand
How will that work them you reckon?

My first thought was it was a bad idea but then stewing on it, could be great if it makes episodes of Raw and Smackdown like nXt where some big title matches happen on their weekly shows and give them a shot in the arm.

Weaker ticket sales on the minor PPV's apparently.

The irony is the minor PPV's have been the best ones in 2017, but who cares about the actual product ey

Just caught up on the mixed match challenge. (Best thing in WWE right now).

Lana beat Bailey clean. I’m stunned. Whose chips did Bailey shit on?
