Latest boxing crack

Just seen the Gilberto Ramirez fight from last weekend. That Ahmed fella has to be one of the worst fighters to challenge for a world title this decade and Laurence Cole further cements his status as the worst referee in the sport
I couldn't watch the last minute or so, he was running away and Ramirez looked like he was going to kill him. The referee and corner were disgusting, he needed to be pulled out earlier

You're possibly the only person in the world who thinks that.

Can you explain in what way?

I reckon people would say Eubank is sloppy, whereas Groves is technically sound.
I can understand someone making the case for Eubank to win this fight but he's not technically better in a month of Sundays. Groves is far superior technically.

Groves can't fight inside. At all. You can argue all you want about who has the better long or middle game but inside eubank is technically much much better. If groves can't find his jab and stop eubank getting inside he is fucked. Particularly with that chin of his.

For that alone I'd have eubank as favourite.
It's not that bad man. And everyone making the assumption Eubank has a great chin because his dad did. We'll know on Saturday night. He's getting knocked out

Agree.

Eubank struggled like fuck against somebody with a jab and movement. It wasn't that Saunders had been sussed in the later half of the fight, it was the fact he had gassed and cruised.

Groves set himself back while training with that fool for the fights he did, but he's still an excellent technical boxer.

Looking forward to it massively like. First proper test for Eubank since Saunders and I want to see what Groves still has to offer. Cracking fight

Looking forward to this one.

Me too. Proper 50/50 fight. Thing is though. People, including Groves saying Jnr has never been in the ring with an elite level fighter. What the hell was Billy Joe Saunders then? He narrowly lost on points against one the p4p champs.

This one is going to be a war. Can't seeing it going the distance. Both can bang with the best of them.

It was a narrow loss in the end but he was shown up for 6 rounds and then Saunders tried to cruise and Eubank went all out because he knew he was down

People never fail to remember how early in his career cej took that fight. He's a totally different fighter now
We'll see on Saturday just how different he is. Saunders wasn't fit as well but oozed class.

Eubanks single punch power was questioned in the past but looks much better since he's moved up.

It was his 18th fight. Maybe people should consider that three years of fighting novices does not equate to him being early in his career.

It is impossible to know how much he has improved because he has spent the three years subsequent to the BJS fighting people well below his level.

likewise marra.....the saunders posts are so one way its laughable.

How so? I didn't moan and I think early in the fight Eubank massively struggled with movement and a jab and as Saunders started to get fucked and cruise through the rest of the fight, Eubank had more success. It was a close fight and it's all ifs and buts, but if Saunders had been in proper shape like he seems to be now, I don't think Eubank would've managed much more success than early in the fight. I still think this fight is a close one and Groves isn't a perfect boxer by any stretch, he gets hit far too often for starters.

If it ends up being a technical boxing match then the only fighter with a chance of winning is Groves but he's a bit like Khan in that he wants a war as soon as he gets properly tagged plus his stamina isn't great.
