First modern Britons had 'dark to black' skin.

I think the black hair came from Spain and the Moors. I could be wrong. Wales has strong links to Spain though and why people like Cookie have dark skin/dark eyes/black hair.
Well ya bugger, I had no idea he was half taffy. Makes his achievements even more special! Can he sing?

I'm surely they'll run a counterstory about how early Britons looked more like Phil Mitchell whilst giving you conflicting health advice on the merits of cheese fighting Alzheimer's disease.

William Ellison is an interesting story, apparently his slaves were employees but had to be classed as slaves to fit in with the laws at the time.
He educated and trained them before they were taken off him as they passed a law dictating slaves had to be under the supervision of superior whites.

I have read that white Europeans resulted from interspecies sex between African emigrants and Neanderthals.
I'm not sure about that, as I think Europeans only have 4% Neanderthal DNA as your other point:
Supposedly everyone except some sub Saharan Africans has up to 4% Neanderthal DNA.
Which again, I believe it's only Europeans that have this (I could be wrong like). For example, I don't believe native Americans or Aboriginal Australians have any Neanderthal DNA.
