I’ve tried to get into t20 but I just cant. I think it’s shit. Instantly forgettable cricket. The impact it’s having on Test cricket is a crying shame.

I used to think that, but I've enjoyed the Bish Bash Bosh finals while I've been here down under.I’ve tried to get into t20 but I just cant. I think it’s shit. Instantly forgettable cricket. The impact it’s having on Test cricket is a crying shame.
Think it's the case in all forms tbh. I've seen a lot of Test and County Championship matches where you know who's going to win after the first day, even the first session on a really bad day. It's very difficult to stage a comeback in cricket, that's why matches like Headingley 81 are talked about so much.I used to think that, but I've enjoyed the Bish Bash Bosh finals while I've been here down under.
The main problem with it seems to be that the game can be over very quickly, unlike the toing and froing that's more likely in Tests.
For example, Whetherald scored a ton by the 15th over in the final. That was game over. Leaves you feeling robbed even though there's more than half of the game to come.
I can't even imagine what a 10 over game would look like. Might as well throw a dice.
I botherSeen Beaver ( Brandon ) hit 6 in an over in a friendly playing for Durham Pilgrims but think it was about a 9 ball over with wides and no balls
Will give you a bell tomorrow for a catch up mate
I bother
Yes mateForgot you in tonight ?
Sorry but I will never be persuaded that the City Franchise shite is a good idea. We already have a good, popular competition based on tradition and teams people can relate to. It is that tradition that makes it unique. The FTECB just refuse to make use of it. With the right leadership, someone with passion for the county game, they could follow the lead of the Premier League. For all it's faults, one of the things it does well is combine the tradition and support for the clubs down the ages with modern thinking and a global appeal.
Eh?The ECB are to blame for not having a proper T20 competition to help show case our players talent. Our tournament isn't even kicking off until next summer.
IPL is played to a market of a Billion that worships Cricket while the BBL is the only major sporting event taking place in Australia at that time as NRL, AFL, A League and Super Rugby are all played during their winter. Neither of those situations apply to England, especially when the new tournament will be going head on with the start of Football and Rugby season. We have an half arsed T20 without that many overseas stars. It has too many teams, is too drawn out and isn't comparable to the IPL or Big Bash etc.
