Stupid bairns names

She just got sick of telling people her name was Simone (must have sounded exotic in the 90s) and started telling them it was Fred instead.
But being students, people had all sorts of wacky names you never questioned. My mate was seeing a lass called Seeb ffs.

To be fair, Fred could be an abbreviation for Alfreda, Winifred, Frederique, Frederica etc. Not that any of them are particularly common names.

Well that’s what I assumed. Not student zanyness.

I know of a Jaxon, it has been known for his mother to confirm this by saying its Jason with an x.

I don’t know what goes through folks minds when they think of this sort of shit.
Does he go to Redby? Mam’s a bit of a salad dodger?

Is it not pronounced Jackson? If not I've been calling my neighbours kid the wrong name and she hasn't wanted to offend me by putting me right

Plenty of folk off here know me by my board name , to be fair I was called that as a very much younger Buster back in the day.

Quite a bit unnerving walking up to SJP last season when a mag I knew from years ago decided to shout ,

“Buster you mackem bastard “ as we were walking past the Gallowgate end before the match .

He was pissed and thought it was funny , it wasn’t particularly funny at the time to be honest.

tbh there are plenty of normal names that sound ridiculous for babies. Steve and Dave spring to mind.

Well you'd obviously call it Stephen/Steven or David wouldn't you.
That said I don't know many who have named their kids either of those recently.

The Daily Mash tries too hard most of the time.

Well I don't see you coming up with anything satirical or hilarious to compete
