Classy from Root. Unbelievable the stick he gets mind. Not the worst problem in the world to have getting out between 50-100, far more concerned if it was between 0-30.

Fell asleep. Woke up. No wickets down.

Roy nearly takes Joe's head off

He only averaged 47 in the Ashes series :-)

The problem is there was no match winning / saving / changing knocks in those 4 50's.

See today, Roy hitting a match winning hundred, not a 50 odd.

Cummins and Starc have simply been swatted away. Why can't the test batters do that?

150, well done JR

Why can't somebody with so much talent work with some coaches and become reasonably competent at red ball cricket?

It isn’t just down to root though, others have to step up to plate. Root imo by end of his career will have 30+ 100s and well in excess of 10,000 test runs. He’s the least of our problems.

Well done Jason Roy. New record holder for the biggest English ODI score. Achieved on mullet island anarl.

We're going to win this without further loss.

Obviously all the batters need to get hundreds but as our best player and captain he's got to lead the way.

Great stuff Roy :-)

The list of England top scores in OdI cricket shows how under rated Strauss was IMO. 3 of the top ten (granted 2 were at home to Bangladesh). Him and Trescothick were my favourite opening partnership.
