Men Who Wear Rings On Their Fingers...

I’ve just been in the kitchen to see our lass and asked her opinion on the matter. She said it doesn’t look right a bloke with a wedding ring on and looks “creepy “

I personally wouldn’t say creepy but wouldn’t dare wear one like .
Nowt worse than a newly wed bloke showing you his wedding ring. Taking it off and showing what it says in the inside and what type of rare metal it is and the carry on at the jewellers getting it sized and that.
I would rather sit in no mans land smoking a cigarette through an illumanous balaclava!!!!

A quick google suggests they’ve been worn since around 1950, so nearly 70 years, longer than not of us have been alive.
When I was a kid I didn’t know one bloke who wore a wedding ring (apart teachers at school)and I’m the same age as you .
Not normal man ,blokes don’t wear rings.

You are just wrong man. The tradition goes back thousands of years. Where this 'recent phenomena' idea comes from absolutely baffles me.

Tbh I agree.

Know some canny enough lads who wear wedding rings but they are proper wet farts.Never address their lasses by their names or our lass ,it’s “my wife” ffs

Come on your being silly .Wedding rings for men are relatively new concept that some traditional blokes like myself don’t agree upon .

Weddings have been around thousands of years yet wedding rings for gadgies about 30/40 at the most ?I personally think they are crap that’s all.
What’s your feeling on wigs and hair transplants ?

I’d go back to one of my other posts, I wouldn’t notice who or who doesn’t wear them, today, tomorrow, or any other day.

I know the old man wears one, married in the 70’s, but I only know that because he used to take it off for work and was always on his bedside cabinet in amongst his pile of coins.

Think that says more about your circle of friends than anything else to be fair.

Must be just the background I was brought up in mate.Wedding rings were for “puffs” that was the general feeling amongst Anties ,uncles ,grandparents etc .

Imagine pitman and shipyard workers wearing a “wedding ring “.People saying it’ isn’t a recent thing need to put that picture in their head .

Unless it's a wedding ring, have a word with yourselves. Just seen some bloke wearing four massive one's. Prick.

P.S. I could just be taking out my frustration at how shit my football club is.
I wear my dad's old ring. He been dead 20 years, hope this is okay with the likes of You?

They DID man. I can't get my head around you thinking they didn't.
Well,I was brought up in Suddick Rd mate and was surrounded by pitman .Cant remember any of them wearing a wedding ring .
When I did see blokes with them on it was teachers, flatties and the likes .
