Do you have to engineer to get incendiary or corrosive? Never seen any for sale.

Yes, every time you do a roll there is a 10% chance of getting an experimental effect. If the experimental effect isn't the one you wanted you can change it but it means that if you do and you were rolling on G5 then the Engineers access will drop to G4 for the next roll.

I'm on my way back to the Pleiades for the last mod which is getting Palin to G5 Dirty Drive the engines. Very last jump of 21 and this bloody happens:

Obsidian Orbital in Maia has been hit by the Goids as well as Reeds Rest in Merope.

I'd been trying out the Python in the Compromised Nav Beacon at Celaeno last night and had left it docked at the rescue ship outside Artemis Lodge.

Just logged in and I've been bumped into Artemis Lodge itself and the rescue ship has been relocated.

So much for the Palin runs for a while! :-(

  • fit out a t10 and nack the bastards for breaking my cash cow.
  • Try again with the Upsillon Aquari stuff. Some people on Reddit supposedly making 150-200m per 35 min run
  • Go back to Sothis-Ceos and carry on fed ranking.

I take every claim of massive profits in a very short time with a huge pinch of salt.

One bubblehead claimed to have made 1B CR in a single day from the Palin runs.

Hmmm... lets do the maths. Max payout for 1 run is 23M so that's a total of about 40 runs assuming EVERY run was for 4 Thargoid Bio samples (highly unlikely.) 15 minutes per run (impossible to do it any faster!) would mean 10 hours without a break for a single minute OR 24 hours solid without a single break making average payouts for each mission of 10.5M.

There's a nice little earner on the go at Obsidian to keep you tided over until they get the station repaired.

Take a bulk freighter (I'm using my Cutter with 460t cargo space) to Corrigan Terminal in Pleiades Sector HR-W d1-74.
Buy Basic Medicines for 218CR. Take them to the rescue ship at Obsidian and sell for 6034CR.
I've just made 2.5M on a one-jump run. :cool:

I've got a stripped down Python with 136 passenger cabins sat at Upsilon Aquarii - I can do 150m easily on one run, about an hour from door to door, just doing passenger missions, providing you've good Allied rep up with all the factions there. There are also loads of data missions for about 1.5m a pop to fill up on if you go to the stations at LT9455 and LT9315 - again if you rep is good enough. I like the Python as there are a couple of outposts in those 3 systems and Yenkilis often has data & passenger missions

Only 6 jumps from my main base at Jameson so if I spend too much I just hop over there and do a run - it's very handy the days I work from home :)

No, it'll either be at the rescue ship or another station nearby.

If you do want to stay in the Pleiades I strongly suggest you do what I do and base your ship at Alcazar's Hope in Merope. It has RRR and a shipyard and the Goids don't appear to be attacking ground stations...yet.

Oh cool. There's a CG in HIP 17692 which is right next door to me.

Time to get the Corvette out! :cool:

f***ing Pleiades. My asp was in the Atlas system, also chinned by thargoids.

Anyway, back home in Jameson, and I've fitted a python up with all passenger cabins, with plasmas and multicannons. Time to run passengers. And woe betide any fucker that interdicts me :cool:

As much as I love my FAS, my Python and my beloved Orca it's a bit of a faff on. To move all 3 to a station costs over 600k a time!

I might regret this but I'm going to sell my babies and consolidate my 180m into a multirole Python. I'll need to be able to kiss up to all the factions on UA without switching ships all the time.

I sold all the weapons I bought on my python, and have stripped everything out. It’s chock full of passenger cabins like @ShoutyBearHead said.

I’m busy in Upsilion running about, repping up. Starting to see 40m+ Passenger missions pop up to smeaton orbital, just need to finish with all the factions. Will probably take the asp out and get some explorer data to finish up.

Tell you what mind, loving the python. You can proper throw it about, very responsive.

Going to combat outfit one up, bet it’s class
 
Think I'll step up to the Keelback today, do a few passenger runs. Brani to Ross 754 is profitable but boring. I feel like seeing a few new places.

I assume there's no point stepping into open until I look a bit more imposing.

How do I get engineers and what do they do?
