Dry January

7 is the maximum recommended amount. Most "drinkers" have at least that in a session.

Everyones tolerance levels are different which is why half these statistics are bullshit imo. They assume we are all equal.

On the dry january subject, how many drank beyond midnight nye/nyd and are claiming the be doing Dry January?

It’s not about tolerance to not getting drunk, it’s the long-term effect on raising the likelihood of cancer and diseases of the liver, pancreas and stomach.

I don't mean tolerance to feeling/getting drunk, one pint will affect someones liver/pancreas/stomach differently to another and therefore stats aren't a true reflection as the variable is too great.

Is that important to you like

I just like pointing it out . They've drank the very first minute of January whats the point in trying to not drink the remainder! (Apart from health benefits @Frijj

I stopped smoking at 11:55 NYE - chanin smoked my remaining box. If i had smoked past midnight it would probably be in my head that i smoked in 2018 so would be tempted again. So far so good though 12days and counting.

Well, if you're happy taking the risk that your body has a greater tolerance to carcinogens, that's your decision as a free person to do so.

Try January for me this year again. On the days when I have a drink I am looking to try at least two drinks I've never had before.
Favourite so far has been Samuel Adams Rebel IPA. Not out this weekend so will get to Asda tomorrow for a selection of half a dozen bottles I've never had to go with my usual weekend drinks

2 Friday nights in 2018, a sup on both. So much for a month off the pop, I still feel like shite from this flu / virus going round so will have a month off in February now, it's actually canny once you have a few weeks off and make sure you put good bait down your neck.

I'm not, i know what you mean. I just don't believe a single figure of pints/units can be used for all to create a true statistic.

Part of the reason I stopped the drink and tabs is because I thought it was knacking my stomach / bowel up.

Anyway just had 2 lean spicy beef burgers with a bit cheese there, they were quite greasy. 30 minutes later I'm on the toilet with intense aches in my lower stomach / bowels and a liquid arse.

Any ideas? Stomach aids?

Would have thowt it takes more than 30 minutes to digest a couple of burgers mind.

Our lass has an intolerance to too much red meat, not sure if that problem has a specific name.

Could also be the dairy in your case?
