Sending your child to London

Wouldn't it just have reminded him of those shithole countries?
The Rainforest Cafe is shocking. People moaning about 5 guys charging £12 for a burger, fries and a drink. It would cost over £20 in the Rainforest Cafe and it'll be a worse standard than a kebab van.

At least she would have gone on the school trip! If she was with me I'd be like "I'm not paying that! You have have a Happy Meal and be grateful":lol:

Given where it is, I'm not surprised.
If it's about location why doesn't the McDonalds opposite it fleece you then, or the 5 guys a few mins walk away?

Agree, as an experience for kids it's very good. I haven't been to hard rock or planet hollywood for a long time but I remember the food was fine. I don't mind paying a premium if the food is OK, Rainforest take the piss.

Just a straw poll as I'm proper fummin about something!

If you had a child in Year 6 (age 10-11), would you be willing to send them on a school trip to London? It would include travelling down by train, staying in a Youth Hostel for two nights and visiting popular tourist attractions by Tube.
A long way from the north, and possibly costly. But why not? (I live here so probably have a different perspective).. Not read thread yet so may post again.

I’d trust the school to ensure my children were safe.

If the bairns wanted to go I couldn’t see them miss out!

Pinch my kids they’d send them back !
