Thrifty folk of the SMB

Its not really though, its just paying the going rate and cracking on.Shopping around/haggling etc doesn't always pay off

Not sure what you mean? If I'm going to buy something, I'll try to get it as cheap as possible within reason. I wouldn't drive 25 miles to save ten pence, but I'd use a different website, for example.

Like a deal me. Just bought one of these on amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Betron-Blu...e=UTF8&qid=1515769535&sr=1-19&keywords=betron Just over £12 in their flash sale for the next hour or so when it was the thick end of £40 just before Xmas.

Another B+M and Home Bargains shopper for branded cleaning products, toothpaste, crisps, catfood etc....

You suggested if you don't search the best possible deal you are over paying, you aren't, you're paying the going rate.Everyone compares websites for stuff worth doing it on . The "within reason" changes from person to person of course

I got a pair of Clark's for £27 reduced from £90 yesterday. Canny pleased with that.
They were a prototype pair for an elephant though...

I once returned something to the pound shop. Really wish I’d never bothered. I went in for a couple of those little dehumidifier things, the plastic tub with little moisture absorbers in them.

Just as I checked out I realised they were both broke so I said I’ll just have my money back. She served other people while announcing over the tannoy for a manager to process a refund. Most situations don’t bother me but I felt crap that day.

Factoring your labour rate in that is shocking, hope it isnt on your mind as you draw your last breaths

Any amusing stories of high level cheapness?

I’m sure I remember reading on here about a poster who boils the kettle at work and takes the hot water home in a flask!

Pinching toilet roll from work has been mentioned

Not sure theft is really what the OP meant by being cheap, if it was we could have some much better stories!

Fair enough. That other lad sounded like he meant something else.
