Must've been one of the most laid back, chilled concerts ever. Not an ounce of bother I bet.

I've heard stories about him from mates that lived in Brixton in the 70's and never heard a bad word said. A typical Rasta, all about the love and peace.
No hassle whatsoever, quite near the back in cheap ticket land and very few white people there but no issues.
Seems like a lifetime ago. Happy days.

Was listening to The Prodigy - Experience earlier.

Scrolling down and was shocked to see this, was going to post it. A fantastic album. My fav of all time. Although it may have been the Walkman, orange head phones, prinee Ann park and lsd.

Timberland / lake / bieber etc still lag behind this in future sounds 20 year later.

What albums from your teenage years do you listen to now and think "fuck, that's good"?

I was a teenager from '81 to '88 give or take a month, although some might see it as a golden era for music and I did enjoy it at the time I think from about '83 it's all a bit naff tbh and hasn't aged well, though I did have ELO 'Balance of Power' on the other day and it was surprisingly fresh, ELO do kinda transcend time though being the most untrendy band ever!

ELO - Time
Dire Straits -Alchemy
Crowded House -

Spot on mate. Jeff is a quality songwriter. Secret Messages and BOP were the only two ELO albums in my teenage years and at the time other than SM title track I was underwhelmed compared to Time. 30 years on, they are both brilliant albums

Interesting.
I'd never really thought about the music specific to those seven years.
I still love so much of it and often revisit all the early Zappa stuff
Dylan - Blonde on Blond, JWH and Nashville Skyline
and the Stones Beggars Banquet through to Exile

What a time to be young and have functioning ears

That's hardly controversial. It's one of the best albums ever recorded.

I was into mainly into punk and new wave, I had 'The best punk album in the world ever part II' on repeat, still listen to it today, also Sgt Peppers lonley hearts by the beatles.
You were that into punk and new wave you waited until a 1996 compilation album to listen to them?

Well it didn't specify if the music was released in your teenage years did it?
A kid like myself in my teens in the 90s was into Oasis and other Britpop bands but also into the beatles and sex pistols and the mod scene
