I actually think the ECB have handled this perfectly.

It’s not their fault he got pissed up and smacked someone at 2am

Me too. This is one situation where the ECB are actually doing the right thing by the player, they are also doing right by keeping things as quiet as possible while this plays out in the courts, but they are getting hammered for it.

Anyway, back to the match..... Looking at this pitch and the overheads, this could be done in a hour.

Look away from the averages.


He has been picked because he is a batting all rounder.
We know we don't have a genuine spin bowler so picked him for his batting.
He has had to learn how to bowl in the test arena and has been fucked around with his batting.

Bar him at 7 or 8 and he will do job more times than he won't.
If we had Stokes on this tour I think he would have done better with is batting.
