No. But he’s not a teacher. Not getting in to this shit again but got a big sentence and will have done his time. After that it’s up to him. Will Hughes did much worse but done his time and came out and resumed his career as did others.

If there’s one way to take the moral high ground it’s to say you’d welcome back a sex offender whilst simultaneously labelling a law abiding, widowed husband of a murdered woman and now single father a hypocrite.

Politics had very little to do with Adam Johnson here. Leave it out

The point is the whole “He should be allowed to ply his trade” argument doesn’t wash.

He’s not a plumber. He’s a professional footballer; a job that earns a a brilliant living and is watched by thousands at stadiums and millions on TV. A position that kids (rightly or wrongly) look up to and aspire. If you can’t see why being a sex offender comes into conflict with that, there’s no point debating it anymore.

His job involves a large amount of trust in dealing with young people and vulnerable people, that's why his offence was particularly heinous and his punishment so harsh.

It isn’t up to him at all, he will be on the register and shouldn't be doing anything where there are safeguarding concerns. After what he did they are certainly safeguarding concerns with him being at any club

He abused his position at the club. He lied to the club. He groomed a minor. He has been filmed in jail showing not a jot of contrition or remorse. In fact, he jokingly stated his regret that he hadn’t raped her such was the length of his sentence.

Why anyone would welcome back this poisonous low-life who abused a supporter and misled and milked the club for as long as he possibly could I do not know. It’s massively disappointing and if it was Mags saying similar I can only imagine the howls of derision.

I hope it’s purely because people are entirely desperate for some kind of ability in the side and their judgement is being clouded. Like I said previously, some wouldn’t accept Colback back because of being loose lipped and sycophantic. Those charges are far less serious than Johnson’s.
