That`s what I thought. I remember we beat Bradford 4-0 one Boxing Day but other than that we seem to have too much Christmas Pud and absolutely no energy or ability on the first match after Christmas.

This midfield is killing us. The defence isn’t great either but it gets put under pressure more than it would if we had a remotely decent midfield.

When u have gooch, Honeyman and an overweight Gibson in the engine room with bone idle mcgeady in the hole and “on his arse constant” Vaughan up top we haven’t really got a hope!!

Not sure I subscribe to that necaserily. What we have is a bunch of players, bereft of any confidence and frightened to take any chances. Everything is a safe option, they attempt to transition the ball forward but then turn and pass backwards or sideways. Even worse is the panic when they hoof it up the pitch. Seconds balls we rarely if ever win and it’s not because the players are poor but if you watch they are too busy desperately trying to get back into position to hold their shape.
