[4th test] Australia v England, Melbourne

Do we still care? Of course we do, it’s cricket. It’s test cricket. It’s Australia.

Granted this has been a disaster, but there have been some fine margins (Vince run out, Modern and the white line etc).

England will make at least one change as Overton is out, seems likely it will be Curran although Crane and Wood must also be in contention. I’d go with Wood obviously. He isn’t the answer but he offers something different to Curran and it would be harsh to throw Crane in.
Arguably we should be making two changes, Broad should be dropped. Vince has earned another go, and Modern still has credit in the bank

Australia will miss Starc who will be replaced by Bird. Paine may or may not play after a family illness

Interesting stat in the paper today about short balls at England players. I’ll list it. Shows total balls. And short balls faced.

Ball 10, 10
Anderson 24, 20
Broad 50, 43
Overton 108, 54
Woakes 134, 61
Malan 450, 134
Stoneman 351, 93
Ali 132, 31
Bairstow 336, 77
Vince 265, 45
Root 256, 39
Cook 175, 15

So they have bowled only short stuff at the tail, but virtually nothing at Cook, Root or Vince

Still care just enough to stay up for the first session Xmas night or longer, see how it goes. More shite here though then I'm definitely not watching the fifth.

Sounds like Curran will come in or could be crane as they think the wicket looks surprisingly dry allegedly. Definitely not Wood though which is who I'd go for. But the FTECB selectors being on another planet to everyone else is nowt new.

Probably tape it, might even watch the first session if Wood is bowling. Although I don't expect him to play - I expect the stupid wankers to go with another medium pacer.

Sensible really. Don't bowl short at those who a pretty good at dealing with it. Cook is good with the short stuff.

Very revealing stat, thank you. That stat should be presented to the umpires and a response requested.

Surely there has to be a case there for continual intimidatory bowling?

Because we've already lost

Right, so we should just not bother with the last two tests? I mean I agree, I think the useless fuckers should just come home, but seeing how that isn't happening they should put a side out most likely to cause Australia problems.

That side would contain a bloke capable of bowling 95mph, who is English and who is actually in Australia.

As it happens, it looks like the f***ing muppets have told Curran he's playing. They're a different kind of special these dickheads.

He should have played in Perth. I'd rather not risk him now that the series is gone. Having said that I think Broad should be dropped

So they should all day a Swann then? ;-)

Merry Christmas mate

A pity our team hasnt shown any of the aggression and fight that you have in this post

I am going to Aus in 2019, I would have been very pissed off if I had gone over there this year to watch this shower of shit
