Just watching it now - total walkover so far.

Puts in context how big of a step up it was for CEJ - it was supposed to be a British level fight, and the other guy turns out to be a properly world class operator.

Hoping CEJ keeps progressing and remains unbeaten until they have a rematch.

That was even more one-sided than I'd expected after reading on here.

I very much doubt that the rematch will ever happen. If you believe Warren they've twice drawn up contracts for a rematch only for the Eubanks to go AWOL in a similar manner to when Hearn put together a contract for Eubank to fight Golovkin

I think they'd only meet as champions - that's where the money would be, you'd think?

As much as I don't like Saunders it's great for domestic boxing that this is the 4th year in a row where a British/Irish fighter has had a big win away from home:

2014 - Brook vs Porter
2015 - Fury vs Klitschko
2016 - Frampton vs Santa Cruz
2017 - Saunders vs Lemieux

Can anyone recommend any decent weekly boxing podcasts?
The 5 live one with steve bunce and the brilliant mike costello is canny. Have about 10 from last few months you can download.

The five kings one is quality.

Calzaghe talking about the kessler fight is very good aswell.

And try talksport..gareth a davies has a podcast you can download.

What a year 2017 has been man, boxing's best year in a long, long time

Fighter of the Year:
Lomachenko
Fight of the Year: Gonzalez vs Rungvisai 1
Knockout of the Year: Garcia vs Zlaticanin
Upset of the Year: Truax vs DeGale
Round of the Year: Joshua vs Klitschko Round 5

What (anticipated) fights/boxing stories are you most looking forward to in 2018?

Predictions for the year.

Fury gets banged out by Shannon Briggs (or similar) and his fans realise that the emperor has no clothes on.

AJ to walk through Parker then get beat up by Wilder.

Eubank beats Groves and is then Beaten by Smith in the super series final.

GGG beats Canelo and is then beaten by Saunders.

Kell Brook to retire Amir Khan

Lomachenko moves up and beats linares.

Oh! And Haye to pull out of the rearranged Bellew fight and retire.

I can just about go along with most of these but can't see Callum Smith beating Eubank or Groves
