Ashes Second Test - Adelaide

Forfeit the last three. Get those f***ing bottle jobs on a plane out of there now.

Bayliss can stay down there, bring Gillespie back instead. Play as much Championship cricket with the Test players as possible and return to a 16 match season, with at least half of those involving England players through April and May then start the Test season in June.

Big f***ing changes needed for Perth, time for Vince to go

Also, Root’s inability to convert 50s to 100s is now beyond a joke
Vince has shown he’s not up to the job it’s like playing Rodwell for Safc and expecting a different outcome. Has to be dropped.

It’s win or bust next up so drop Vince and Malan. Question is who replaces them? Root goes to 3 and possibly an under cooked Stokes for Malan with Livingstone replacing Vince

Agree with Malan, he’s been getting praise for digging in but he averages 25 ffs.

Bairstow needs to be moved up the order, absolutely wasted in his current position when he’s probably our second best batsman

The options in the Lions squad aren’t great, Livingstone would be a typical Bayliss pick mind

I agree with the principle of wholesale changes but it will be impossible for players who have had little or no cricket to come in against their attack and score runs. Our batmen aren't good enough but i would suggest that they have a better chance of scoring runs than those that havent been playing competitive cricket. Bit like bringing Borthwick in at Sydney.

I'm raging. What was the point in digging in and battling through yesterday only to capitulate this morning. Think after the first innings everyone would have accepted a narrow defeat but this is just a joke. Team full of bottle merchants.

Collingwood would score more than Vince or Malan and he’s there as a coach

Yeah Livingstone was a push given how bad the options are

This ^^^ making them look like the warne/McGrath era ffs

We're not very good either mind our record in test cricket in recent years is pitiful. We even lost a test at home to the West Indies ffs. 9 tests in 2017, we've lost 4 and won 5, 7 of those tests were at home. 2016 we played 17 test matches, won 6, lost 8, drawn 3. So 26 tests, 11 wins, lost 12, drawn 3. I think if people were a bit more honest, we're just not very good. Back end of 2015 we only won 1 in 5.

We've made this Australia side look great and in my opinion they're nothing special at all, Bangladesh beat these recently and Sri Lanka hammered them last year, as did South Africa in Hobart and Perth.

Not the slightest bit convinced with this bunch and certainly not optimistic for the future of red ball cricket with these clowns (ECB) overseeing it all. We live in a country where the ECB do everything to stop test cricketers from playing red ball county cricket for example, it's pathetic.

Our 40+ year old coach would be better than Malan and Vince for example, shambles.

Bairstow ending up batting at eight is a joke, he should never be batting as low as 7 anyway.

Root should batting at 3 also, he is one of the best batsman in the world, yet leaves a problem high profile position to new international players!

I don't care what they records are batting at 4 and 7, they have both scored runs in the past because they are class players, not because of the number in the order they have batted, they should be higher in the order simple as that!
Just moving deckchairs.

Root still sticking to the crap it was right to bowl.

Your inability to convert has impacted us in both games.

Moeen has been weak as fuck and should not be coming in ahead of bairsrow.

Get Vince gone, root into 3, malan down to 7 and stokes in. Wood if he’s fit.

5-0 is happening get Bayliss and the selectors binned.

Got out of bed, put the telly on, bunch of pundits talking about how they manufacture pink cricket balls....

FFS, another day ruined before I've even got to work.

Another false dawn after yesterday's glimmer of hope. Why does this happen so regularly? Why can't our batsmen dig in an fight like other countries seem able to? Talking to my youngest last night and he wasn't very optimistic. I said it's only 60 runs per session - the wickets are a worry - but if you play no-risk cricket for the first session, one or two runs an over will do, as long as the board's ticking over and you lose no more wickets. then the improbable just might become a possibility.

But no. Second ball of the day and that's out of the window. Next over, Root's gone as well. Game over. (On a side-note - anyone else worry about how often Root seems to get out early after an overnight break? Apart from his poor fifty-to-hundred conversion rate, he never seems to kick on the next day and turn his overnight scores into truly game-changing ones.)

Also, what's going on with the DRS system down there? Nearly every decision reviewed seems to baffle not only the players, but the radio and TV pundits, and those watching on the big screens in the ground. Usually, the pundits get it somewhere near after viewing the first replay with regards to balls pitching in-line or if it's too high or just missing leg etc. This time they've got it wrong almost to a man! And the crucial decisions, at crucial points in the game, are nearly always going in Australia's favour. Either the Umpire's have been particularly bad, or there's a rabbit away with the DRS system they're using.

Rant over.

Changed my mind during my post haha

Stokes has to come in, as the balance of the side is wrong.

Vince isn’t even a decent first clsss cricketer, malan has guts i’ll give him that but not good enough.

Problem is we have nee f***ing backup as the selection has been utter shite.

Foakes and stokes in for me. Wood if he’s magically fit too. Get the team right and we might have some fight.

If you think our strength for years has been the middle order Root, Stokes, Bairstow and Ali were and are a tremendous series of players .... but Stokes and lack of someone who is even reliable occasionally in the Vince position.

And bowlers are too similar paced, they need more variety.

I was hoping for better from Ball and Woakes. I think they're better bowlers than they have shown. Woakes has been bowling at 90mph before his injury.

And whoever said Woakes is an all-rounder - he looks completely out of his depth with a bat and overall he's a step down from Bresnan.

If England are going to get anywhere they need to take red ball cricket more serious during the English season .... for a start playing games on the Summer would help and fewer in spring and Autumn.

Oh yea. People are still underestimating Lyon and Starc and Cummings are better than any we have.
