You have no frame of reference here. Police investigations take what they take and they rely completely on the office in charge and his or her availability. Then it relies on those aresholes at the CPS to decide if there is a case to be had. From what I saw when I worked at the CPS, there are piles and piles of documents stacking up in every office. Speed is definitely not of the essence.....but it's no different in Stokes' case

He should be given no special treatment because he's a famous cricketer.
I still don't quite understand how it is taking this long to be sorted though. They've interviewed Stokes. They've interviewed Hales. They've spoken to the lad(s) Stokes battered. They've spoken to the 2 gay lads who Stokes was sticking up for. They've seen the cctv.
Quite how it's taken so long to sort out is a bit of a joke. Either there's enough evidence to charge him or there's not.
The fact he's a cricketer and is desperately needed for England should not come into it
