The fact they're dragging their heels regardless is a f***ing piss take. Cricket or no cricket, people want to be able to get on with their lives
YepDaft knacker just has himself to blame.
Daft knacker just has himself to blame.
I never understand why these things take soo long.
However the moment he did what he did and it was caught on camera, he was never going to be playing in this test.
He could have made the difference in this test and the one person to blame for that is Stokes himself and certainly not the police.
It's old ground, it's been done to death, but that's not strictly true. It is, however, what we're getting at. If the police got their fingers out of their f***ing arses we could have an answer as to whether he would've played or not - as it is, whatever FTECB sanction is placed upon him, we STILL don't know.
That’s not true, being suspended happens a lotWhatever happened to innocent until proven guilty anyone else would be able to carry on with their job while the investigation was taking place
Exactly this.
He should be given no special treatment because he's a famous cricketer.
I still don't quite understand how it is taking this long to be sorted though. They've interviewed Stokes. They've interviewed Hales. They've spoken to the lad(s) Stokes battered. They've spoken to the 2 gay lads who Stokes was sticking up for. They've seen the cctv.
Quite how it's taken so long to sort out is a bit of a joke. Either there's enough evidence to charge him or there's not.
The fact he's a cricketer and is desperately needed for England should not come into it

Lawyer are we?
This argument would carry some weight if this were a home series. But its not. What if he were charged mid-way through a test in Adelaide? How does he get back to Bristol nick to file bail and what do England do?
Trouble is a report with all the evidence and interviews has to go up to the Crown Prosecution Service with recommendations. Then a CPS solicitor makes a 'considered' opinion on what to do! Can take ages ......Exactly this.
