In general it's f***ing dogshit.

Only saving graces are Boycott and Gilchrist. Don't get the Boycs bashing, the bloke is a cricketing genius. How can anyone not enjoy hearing him talk about the technical side of the game?!

All you cûnts fawning over Mitchell want to get a f***ing grip too. Every stint she does she talks over deliveries. She waffles on all the f***ing time, asking in excess of 7891 questions that are either completely f***ing nonsensical or where the answer is blindingly obvious.

I don't know why BT didn't just get the TMS lads in. Double up with the radio. There have been far too many times during this game where I've just pressed mute.

I bet you hang about outside of Mitchell's house, raking in her bins. You're obsessed.

work 8-4pm during the week so this is my first experience of the Ashes on BT. It feels like I'm watching a highlights package because it's that stripped back and that bint sounds like she's on MOTM commentating on things that have already happened but trying to pretend they haven't.

Shite.

I wouldn't do any 'taking about' with her. She's an ogre.

I notice you don't want to debate how shit of a commentator she is though......

She's alright. Lots better than her, some definitely worse.

I actual said that earlier in the thread, if you had stopped foaming at the mouth and stabbing pins into your Alison Mitchell voodoo doll you might have seen it.

Did I say anything that you didn't agree with then? If no, thanks for wasting both of our time by quoting me.

I struggle to see who is worse though, on BT's team. Humour me, who's worse?

Swann by a country mile. He's the only commentator that is so annoying he detracts from the sport.

You've got issues with Mitchell, that need addressing. It's getting you worked up now just talking about it

The quicker Sky Sports get out of our sports the better.

Well said.

Atherton, Hussain, Lloyd etc are all fantastic on air and in analysis though. Far better than anything BT have to offer. Sky’s lunch features and masterclasses are also excellent.

The pros and cons of sky’s involvement in the game can be argued til the cows come home but their actual coverage is second to none

Skys delivery during the broadcast is far, far superior. They actually utilise the replays to improve the viewers experience and insight. Not just to fill a gap between overs.

I'm still a firm believer it should be on terrestrial television though. C4 was always great.

Channel 4 was excellent. Michael Atherton is the best cricket broadcaster about. The heir to Benaud

Bear in mind that BT may not (probably won't) have control over the cricket that is broadcast .. they may not be able to call up replays for instance.

Surely the director should be across that though, and telling the commentator team what is about to be broadcast? Rather than them just flinging a split screen replay up and then commentators sitting in silence while it's playing.
