Because they’re thick?
This is my favourite bit.

Aldi has recalled its Clancy’s Barbecue Flavour Coated Peanuts because they contain cashew nuts, which are undeclared on the label.

The supermarket is warning customers with a nut allergy not to consume the snacks, but instead to return it to the shop where it was purchased

Surely if you have an allergy, you're extra careful?
You would have thought so, and to be fair, those people with allergies probably are careful. This’ll be more about Aldi and Lidl protecting their own arse than anything else.

To be fair, you can eat peanuts if you have a nut allergy. Peanut allergy and nut allergy are two different things.
Well my stepson has a nut allergy and I certainly wouldn't be buying him peanuts.

Has anyone actually read the article?
They are being recalled because one of the labels isn't even written in English and the other, a bag of peanuts is being recalled because it contains something that isn't peanuts and isn't specified on the label.
Somehow this is the shoppers fault.
