And who says justice is slow in this country

You disagree?

What happened to him isn’t justice by the laws of this land, so yes, I disagree that this is “justice”.

Deserve it he may well have done, but I know nothing about him other than what he was convicted for. I wasn’t on the jury nor was I in the courtroom - and nor was anyone else on here.

His life was not someone else’s to take. It was to be spent at her majesty’s pleasure.

You absolute fanny, he killed a bairn.

I'm just gutted he didn't get tortured for years before got killed, got an easy way out.

I’m aware of what he did. He did something truly awful, but I don’t consider what happened to him to be justice under the laws of this land.

I’ll refer you to my post in the last big thread on the death penalty, in which I said some people deserve to die.

Maybe this lad did deserve to die - I don’t know the circumstances of why he did what he did, and nor do you or anyone else who didn’t sit through the case in court.

What happened to him isn’t justice in any legal sense.

Indeed it would. I would expect she’d want respect for the law, first and foremost as they are her laws.

He's not being a fanny. Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not mourning the cretin, we shouldn't be calling it justice though.

We've already had someone suggest releasing the prisoner that did it early. The bloke is a violent rapist that has an indefinite sentence.

I don't see it as justice either, he should have been tortured.

People who advocate punishments like torture would have a sudden and significant change of heart if they found themselves on the wrong side of the law.

Have you considered living somewhere in the Middle East under Sharia Law, or perhaps moving to a lawless and remote part of Central Asia?

Seriously - if you want a brutal and violent justice system, how about countries that slice limbs off for theft and stone people to death?

Wouldn't bother me as I wouldn't commit the crime. Crack on chop the hands off robbers!

It's not justice like as he got off easy, should have been battered loads first.

One absolute wrang un bumps off another absolute wrangun, not gonna lose any sleep over it, with the added bonus that the knacker that did the killing will be in nick for an even longer term before he's let loose on society, if ever

You can’t say for sure you wouldn’t commit a crime though.

Who knows what circumstances may befall you in the future?

Care to answer the rest of the post or is this just going to be another thread about how you want a violent justice system that thankfully we don’t have.

Thanks for murdering that arse hole violent rapist, you are no longer a threat to people, enjoy your freedom.

Stop being such a f***ing drama queen. Where in the original link does it list the attackers previous? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-41985404

You seriously expect me to do an internet search on him before coming out with a tongue in cheek comment like that? I'm not Frijj ya knar!

You disagree?
