Some people are just absolute bellends aren't they?

My Granda lives in a block of about 12 flats. 1 bloke who lives there, a window cleaner (/licker) goes mental when someone parks in 'his spot' (which is across 2 bays). He even put someones window out once, then got a good hiding :)

My mother in law used to kick off about people parking in the space in front of her house - she didn't even have a car
Doesn't live in Queen Alexandra Rd does she? Auld bat who lives there often has a go at our lass if she has to park there for work, again not blocking the drive and as far as we know doesn't have a car anyway, what do they get out of moaning at every opportunity, you'd think with so few years left they'd want to be a bit more cheerful....

Some people are morons. I've already mentioned it in another thread but last weekend my niece was up and parked her car along from her parents' house. As she got in it there was a note on the screen telling her (in capital letters) to never park there again. The bloke then came out, had a rant at her and said he was angry because IF his Mother in law wanted to visit she wouldn't have anywhere to park. She was neither blocking his car or his drive. Absolute arsehole, she felt quite intimidated.

Some people get bizzarely posessive over the bit of public road outside their house. Someone I work with was telling me about a stressful weekend because he had to park a few doors down the other evening. He spent most of the evening watching for ‘his’ space becoimg free, at which point he got his coat on, hurrried down the street and moved 60 yards to its rightful place. When I asked why, he said ‘well I don’t want to have to walk down the street next time I want to go out’. He didn’t seem to see the logic when I pointed out that he had to walk to move the car anyway.

I've had that. And people park in front of my house. And i find it annoying. But i have to ignore it and get on with my life.
As far as the OP is concerned, people have been behaving like idiots forever. But now it gets put on social media.

What do you think that side might be?
They may be on call and have to shoot off at short notice.

Sick relative that they have to visit.

I would suggest that there may be a pregnant woman in the house but there’s an ambulance in front of their house anyway.

Plus there’s no need for the ambulance service to act like meeja whores when the other people haven’t had the opportunity to defend themselves.

I was at a funeral and afterwards the wake was held back at the persons house (Holder House est Shields)..Bearing in mind the hearse left the same house in a little close and it was an obvious funeral/wake, some auld crow still knocked on the door to complain her drive was blocked and when her hubby returned from work he would have to park round the corner..ffs she couldnt wait a couple of hours

Or the ambulance was also dealing with an emergency and there was nowhere else available.

In all of those situations, none of them are life threatening, and therefore can wait until the lifethreatening situation has finished.

The emergency vehicle, by definition, won't be longer than an hour max. Even if it is life or death, you can go next door and ask them to move it. And unless they're performing CPR, I'd imagine they would. If they are doing CPR, then it might put things into perspective, you asking to move their "van".
