He’s not coming though is he?

Karanka I mean.

He's taking his time if he is.

Mind, if they have approached him and he is "thinking about it" he'll not be coming. If they haven't approached him then the thing to do would be go and see him, ask him, and then before he manages to tell them to sod off, get the chloroform on the hankie , knock him out and shove him in a cupboard then get him to sign something before he comes to his senses.

Otherwise, I think you're right. He won't be coming.

How many people had a problem with Allardyce and his Mag links? I don't see how Karanka's Boro links are a problem?

They aren't mate. The managerial merry go-round suggests that managers will have quite a few clubs. We've had BSA who managed the Mags, Steve Bruce who was a staunch Geordie and Mag and longer back Bob Stokoe, Pop Robson and Lawrie Mac.

Sometimes you will employ decent people who have had links with the Mags or Boro. It doesn't make them any less of a manager or Anti-Sunderland.

I'm not ower fussed like, he reminds me of Poyet. I think the dummy would come out canny quickly. People said Allardyce would instantly sort our defence out, he didn't. He had to get Kaboul fit and sign Kone to do it.

I don't think Karanka would be perfect like I agree, he has his downsides. But looking at the realistic options, he's the name I keep coming back to. I just can't see anyone who's a better all-round candidate like.

This sums up my thoughts anarl. Would hardly be jumping for joy but feel karanka will have enough about him to address the egos in the dressing room, rattle a few cages and make us incredibly solid probably by defending the 18 yard line and flooding the centre of the park and playing on the counter but think he'll at least stop the rot and set us going in the right direction.

Karanka seems to be the best we can hope for, I would be happy with him but can't see us giving him the financial backing that he would want, we will end up with a yes man

Surely if you were addressing someone with a question you would use a question mark at the end?

Always best to have your own house in order before pulling up others ;)

If anyone's going to get abused for being pedantic, I like to think that it'll be me. . . .

A rhetorical question doesn't have to end in a question mark.

Even that would require a recruitment plan marra, and it’s almost certain there isn’t one.... no surprise there!
