Grayson v Rafa

when you lads keep saying net spend is irrelevant let me try and explain it in a way you can understand.

You have £10 in your pocket and you go and play the one arm bandit, on your last spin you get a £3 win and you walk away. While you can say you had a £3 win when asked how you did on the bandit you would say you lost £7
If you believe the fact that you spent £10 to get your £3 win is irrelevant than i'm sorry but you are an absolute f***ing moron.

If you can not see that selling Sissoko, Wijnaldum, Townsend, Janmaat etc for 80+ million and then being allowed to invest 50 million of that sum back into the squad is very different from just being given 50 million to spend there is little hope for you.

maybe @Grumpy Old Man can explain it to you, you might actually listen to him being that he is a fellow Sunderland fan.

Or, if you sell your motor for £25k and but bother for £30k, you still own a £30k motor therefore, yes met spend is irrelevant when it comes to the quality of commodities.

So you sold Sissoko for £30m and whoever else, totalling £50m, that doesn't mean you signed a team of free transfers does it? You still accrued £50m of footballers in the second tier.

ah yea, lucky mags of course.
Relegated mags manage to keep a champions league winning manager on and the owner (who they despise) lets him spend £50m. They then win the league thus promotion first time of asking by a fanny hair, thanks to a Brighton bottle job. Gotta feel for you unlucky bastards :(

never mind you have Simon, and agreed you'd rather have him than Rafa.

Finished 8 points clear of third along with a 30-goal advantage on goal difference. A fanny hair...

yes you are but your car value has improved by 5k, you have 5k more motor car than you had before.
If i buy you a 30k car I have given you 30k of motor car, If i take your old car off you and sell it for 25k then buy you a 30k then I have given you 5k of motor car

If the club sells 50 million pounds worth of players assets then gives that manager 50 million to purchase replacement assets the manager has not been given 50 million to improve the team he has been allowed to exchange those assets for ones of equal value.

No you don't have £5k of car, you own a 30 grand one.
Again, you still have a squad with a minimum of £50m worth of talent in it in the second tier.

How many points did Brighton drop to let the mighty Rafa win the league?

Over the course of the season? Surely you should know how league tables work, I shouldn't have to explain it.

Promotion was the aim, title was a bonus. But you already know this and we pissed promotion.

It's bananas to suggest that Simon Grayson is a better manager than Rafa Benitez. I mean I understand a little tribalism, but come on...

Jesus wept why is this so hard?
£30m for Pickford, 1.25m for new players
£80m for mag players, £50m for new players
Net spend doesn’t need to come into it the owner let the manager spend £50m ffs

Any reason you've ignored post #144? Feel sorry for your mate WallsendMag?

no no, i get it, you'd rather have Grayson than Benitez , i got that
Ah so you’ve found your default reply, congratulations. Have you considered not posting here so you can spend more time with your Rafa memory box?

It’s his style to ignore certain posts but come steaming in when he thinks he has something clever to stay. His F5 button is worn out man.
