Which baboon thought it was a good idea to impose a 40% pay cut

For relegation and in the event of a relegation thought it would be all the motivation the players needed?

This is a joke aye?? A very bad one.....:rolleyes:

How would you feel if you got a 40% paycut at work.. its no coincidence the ex premier players are playing like dogshit.. bar watmore.. they are pissed off.. and dogshit.. not a great combination..

They knew it would happen. Money didn't motivate them to not be utter shite last year did it? Get a grip!

Since it’s been in place since Quinny was running the show I’d assume they knew about it when they signed so f**k em. Twenty odd grand a week, yes twenty odd, isn’t to be sniffed at yet some of them aren’t putting out for that.

Different scenario.. premier league is a million miles above the chumpo.. this season they should be smashing this division up.. they are however not.. as poor as they are they should be very comfortable at this level it is dogshit..

Fully agree, but you can't use the wage cut as an excuse for motivation. They were all fully aware of the consequences of relegation.....if that wasn't enough to motivate them last season then f***ing nothing will!

Maybe the manager just isnt getting the best out of his players? They are good enough to be comfortably mid table..

It was supposed to a) motivate the players to perform to a level that would make relegation unlikely and b) save the club from administration in the event of relegation.

Only on here would sound financial planning like that be seen as a stick to beat the club with

Look Mr Cattermole if you and your team mates hadn't have been so shite last season the 40% pay cut wouldn't have been imposed. Then you wouldn't have to come on a football forum to complain about it.

The PL isn't a million miles above the Championship,

So it's a bad idea to cut overheads on relegation? I despair at the logic of some people. Let's give everyone a pay rise!

1) The'll still be on more than most other clubs in the championship
2) If they were good enough to earn premier league wages a premier league club would have bought them.
3) The reason they aren't motivated is shite management, not money

The maddest idiotic suggestion I've seen or heard in the last year, shouldn't be surprised.

Yeah there's surely evidence to suggest the likes of Kone would be motivated and interested after his last pay rise....
