I watched La Cabina just recently after seeing your old post on another thread.La Cabina.
The Haunting (1963).
This, particularly if you were growing up mid 80's when nuclear war felt imminent all the time.Threads. (TV Film).

It's f***ing depressing mind
Snap m8 I watched it a few weeks ago. Good until the last 20 minutes I think and then it loses its way a little but still horrible to watch. This, particularly if you were growing up mid 80's when nuclear war felt imminent all the time.
Watched it again recently. Still f***ing horrific. Just grim from start to finish.
That would be about right. I remember being shocked at the time. It probably wouldn't shock many today, but as it was such a strange film it definitely stayed with me. Never seen it since, so re-watching it would be interesting. It was actually banned for decades. Didn't get shown on TV till the 1980s.
The book is fantastic but also a hard readThis is the one that really really affected me for weeks.
Couldn't get it out of my mind. Its not just the actions, its the way they clearly damage a person forever. A totally innocent victim.
Its horrific.
And then you hear about shit like Fritzel, and think, f***ing hell, its pretty much happened to people.
NoJust googled this to add to my watch list - i guess it's not this one http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0265208/
It's a comedy man, Mr. Torrance.A clockwork Orange
I have the full version on DVD and the animal deaths are totally unnecessaryCannibal Holocaust, i'm not easily shocked but I genuinely wish i'd never watched it because of the animal cruelty in it. Horrendous.
Totally agree but did you know there are loads of animal deaths in very popular mainstream films, iirc in The Pirates of the Carribean hundreds of fish, turtles crabs and many other sea life were killed when they were doing explosions in the sea, also iirc in The Life of PI the tiger nearly drowned, if you google it there are loads.the animal deaths are totally unnecessary

Have you seen apocalype now?Aye but they were deliberately murdered in CH and the murders were shown, the others you have mentioned were accidents.
Have you seen apocalype now?
Awful scene near the end of that film of a cow getting a machete through its back. No, why?

Its a fantastic film like very worth watching just cover your eyes when you see a cow near the end of the film.I'd rather not watch it in that case.
