I was very close to switching Martyrs off at one point but glad i stuck with it as the ending was great
 
Cannibal Holocaust, i'm not easily shocked but I genuinely wish i'd never watched it because of the animal cruelty in it. Horrendous.

Human Centipede - although I've only read about this one. Not sure if I can stomach it, for want of a better phrase.

I'd say Requiem For A Dream is weird, but not disturbing.

Someone once told me shortly about the Serbian film, I dont get it. Why would anyone ever want to watch sch a thing? I dont understand it.

I remember one of the characters in The Player saying he'd been to see it and he kept repeating that phrase. And I felt very smug as I knew what he was referring to. :)

I'm always getting accused of spoilers so here, if this works!
The nasty 'normal sized' trapeze artist who married a midget for his money and planned to kill him is found out. The 'circus freaks' get their revenge and she is shown without legs or arms and tarred and feathered - looking like a duck - hence the 'one of us' quote.

I flicked through A Serbian Film once out of curiosity as i'd read about it and thought the same as you.
It actually sounds worse written down, you don't see much on screen, thankfully.

Im just not sure whats to be gained from something so vile.

I mean im no horror fan but I understand why some may like being scared or whatever but just whats to be gained from seeing the stuff in those films.
