You're doing it wrong
Seriously though, we tend to sack off anything with more than a 20 minute queue and get pretty much everything done. I plan everything within an inch of its life, like.
Yeh, there's only usually 1 day per week that counts as "quiet" at MK. Definitely have to be there that day - and hope its not a "party" day too.
The hardest one to plan was actually Hollywood Studios as the stage show times are fixed - so if you want to do all of them, it really fills the day and leaves small gaps dotted around to fill with Fastpasses.
Like I said, totally different when you have kids
My point was more that with kids you kinda have to do it in peak time because of school so queues are going to be longer, apart from avatar queues were fine there at the end of september and in Universal we had the three day express pass. Always felt a tinge of guilt walking by everyone in the normal queue. Got over it pretty quickly though
We simply couldn't get a FP for it. I was on the site 1 second after opening, and they were all gone. Tried again for a friend who was staying on premise, and 45days ahead, was still booked out!!!45 mins in a queue, the kids would not stand for that one like.
How long are the queues on a fast pass these days in Florida?
Sounds like we were there at about the same time, and stayed near eachother. We were at the Wyndham on Hotel Boulevard, right next to the pedestrian overpassWas really impressed with Disney Springs, it was downtown disney last time I was over but this is so much better. Tons of really nice places to eat and drink. The resort we were staying in was only a five minute walk from Disney Springs too so that was great.
Even though its a building site, you've still got big hitters:Hollywood Studios is my favourite park.
Even though its a building site, you've still got big hitters:
Star Tours - much improved now
Tower of Terror
Rock N Rollercoaster
Muppet 3D
That's the basis of a cracking day. You can do Star Tours twice with zero wait at opening, then fast pass the rest. the night time show is really good too.
Its going to be outrageously good when the 2 new bits open up

Was it because hotel guests booked them all?We simply couldn't get a FP for it. I was on the site 1 second after opening, and they were all gone. Tried again for a friend who was staying on premise, and 45days ahead, was still booked out!!!

Yes. It was "sold out" just by disney hotel guests, they didn't make it to the 30 day mark any day that I was there. Was it because hotel guests booked them all?

Cool. Most rides are walk on at rope drop, but not Flight of PassageI've managed to get rope drop FPs for the two days we're planning at AK. Apparently I was very lucky to get them.
looking to go to Florida next year, bout September. Didn’t realise how expensive it is to get there. Do people just use virgin or Thomson or is there other options, cheaper preferably.
Was hoping to pay no more that £1500 for the hotels and flights.
Is international drive still the place to stay or is Disney/universal a better option? Been 20yr since I was there.
Just gan on the app at 10:37 Florida time on the day you want to ride and they release a load more.
You were there when we were there. Found the tapu tapu system great, got on all the rides, mind you it helped getting in the park an hour before general opening hours.Loved the water parks in Disney and would've loved volcano bay but their tapu tapu system is a complete joke, I was there two weeks ago for about four hours and only managed to get on two things. The system is just stupid, you get a time to join the queue instead of being able to just queue. I was sitting outside the main slide for about 10 minutes before I was allowed to then go join the queue and wait for a further 45 minutes. This was all in the off season too.
That said the slides are class, scary as fuck waiting for that trap door to open!
Soarin was class, hadnt done that before, actually thought it was better than avatar.
Had two really nice days in epcot doing the food and wine expo, really nice just eating and drinking your way around the park
yeah I was never gonna be up that early to do that! You were there when we were there. Found the tapu tapu system great, got on all the rides, mind you it helped getting in the park an hour before general opening hours.
Days we went we just a lot of the rides didn't have wait times, did you go on a weekend? We tried to stay out of the parks on Sat / Sun and went during the weekdays, seemed a lot quieter. Islands of Adventure we pretty much did everything in 5 hours. Longest we waited for a ride was 15 minutes.yeah I was never gonna be up that early to do that!
I just didnt see the benefit or point of the tapu tapu. You're only allowed one time and its literally giving you a time when you're allowed join the queue, its not like you could go off and go on anything else while waiting as everything had a tapu tapu wait time.
Should just let people join the queue when they want. I guess at peak periods it stops EVERYONE queuing at the drop slides cause they're the big ones, no pooint apart from that.
Wow that’s cheaper than the parking costs at the parks. Do you use theUber app to book them, or just phone up?
There's a code you can get too that gives $10 off your first trip. You can each sign up - so that's 2 freebies, basically.Has to be done through the app.
Was there wednesday two weeks ago, was one of the rainy days. queues for everything were crazy. More annoyingly the express passes that we paid for for the universal parks didnt work there. The other two parks were fine, no wait times at all, all the harry potter stuff is very impressive though the new gringotts ride isnt a patch on the other on in the Studios.Days we went we just a lot of the rides didn't have wait times, did you go on a weekend?
