Easy answer, just move the decimal point on New Year’s Eve.

So all the money we have in the bank gets devided by ten, as do prices and wages.

Then a pint will only cost 34p and those pennies become worthwhile again.

Change out of a tenner for a night out.

Probably should get rid but tbh I'm sick of all these changes and look forward to a couple of years with us sticking with what we've got
 
Apart from the marketing side of things - I thought it was a mechanism to prevent pilfering - by charging irregular amounts, staff would have to open tills to give out change, rather than just pocketing the notes.

Actually fecking fair play to you. Apologies. I took the trouble to check: choosing Apple, Sainsbury's and Tesco for starters. You are completely correct and there is no sign of x.99 and x.49 deals. In fact all the Apple products are round numbers.
