Harvey Weinstein

The ‘why are you here?’ card played almost immediately.

Go away, ‘Amber’

Probably the lowest troll in the history of the SMB. Quite a feat.
Whoa there howld on a minute. You’re jumping to the defence of Hollywood celebs who have had to dodge getting groped and career-ransomed by a creepy studio boss but you dismiss out of hand a non celeb SMBer who may have endured much worse than that?

I think you’re on very thin ice there matey - you’ve taken this beyond the bounds of debate and discussion.

I
I’d watch him shower for a good movie role. I love the outraged actresses that have decided to spill the beans after 10 years, can’t help thinking it’s all publicity is good publicity for the poor darlings.
I see your point a little. But I think you may be wrong in the main.

Has it occurred to you that all the ire turned on people who speak out is one of the reasons why people might not want to speak out?

Weinstein's company, and ergo his brother (co-founder with him of the said company) have been aware since at least 2015 of the fact that settlement payments have been made to women and did ... nothing.

Absolutely, I just think there will be the odd actress with no talent who would be fully prepared to do whatever to get to the top, which doesn't help those who got abused sadly.

I am not an expert, and I am probably way wrong here, but one of the lasses who said he abused her went on to be in a few of his films, and was still posing with him in photos up until recently. Seems a bit odd like.

The bloke is a creep mind

I'm sure it's just me, but I really haven't seen many 'hollywood big shots' calling Weinstein out over this?

Where are Scorsese, Eastwood, Lucas, Coppola, Nolan, Spielberg, Tarantino, Cameron, Jackson, Fincher, Lynch, Malick, Burton, De Palma etc?

Plus maybe De Niro, Pacino, Duvall, DiCaprio, Cruise, Hopkins, Washington, Spacey, Willis, Freeman etc

Perhaps I missed it.

Just so you know you absolute bell end I’ve reported you. I feel sorry for your gf, if you have one, your kids, if you’re capable, your parents,if they weren’t donor sperm, and the obvious sad life you lead bullying people on an Internet forum. I hope you eat shit and are very ill. Cheers.

Posts a load of abuse (standard bullying tactic) and at the same time calls someone a bully.

A little ironic. I haven’t reported you, btw.

Just a reminder of what you posted on an earlier page in reply to me:

Get a grip. I love this. You’re on SMB, misogyny central. Why are you on here? If you are so outraged surely you shouldn’t be.

Abuse? Are you taking the piss? Read your posts. I didn’t deserve any of that.

Wait, what?

Person A is aware that person B is serially abusing vulnerable people, for example. But A chooses not to say anything, for whatever reason, let's say because they fear it may harm their own career if they speak out, or they can't be arsed or whatever. You think literally no fault could ever be applied to A?
Person A, should they know that Person B is doing something of course should say something. However if person A is a victim in fear of further abuse it's a very different story. Not least because the evidence shows that women (and men, but usually women) are not believed when they come out with their admissions and frequently become victims themselves. Society in general dosent believe or accept victims of sexual abuse. Men are more interested in protecting themselves hypothetically than women in actuality on this front unfortunately.

On top of all this I doubt many people would, when push comes to shove, out behaviour like this in the knowledge that it might cost them their career, future prospects and capacity to pay the bills. Let alone be in a position to ascertain whether it was serial behaviour.

And as before, the only offense is that of the abuse by the perpetrator. They are literally the only person to have caused any of this.
