Anyone got one?

Can you use it on a bus to get a Transfare ticket?

Google says yes.

Pop PAYG on buses (and the Shields Ferry) functions as a payment method for a single, day, return or transfare ticket, as an alternative to cash. Therefore you can buy a transfare ticket on a bus using Pop PAYG.

You got a link to that mate? I can still only find the single, return or day ticket for sale on a bus. Cheers.

I gave up with mine, rarely worked and many busses claimed they didn’t accept them
Aye, it's not for me either.

I can't, for example, get on a Metro in Newcastle, and use a bus for the remainder of my journey without it costing more than it would to get a Transfare ticket at the Metro and there is no daily cap on bus fares.

Thought it was the same as me Oyster card for London, but alas, not.

Now that the buses all take credit/debit cards. What's the point of a pop card for adults?
The fares are cheaper if you just use the Metro, but only by 20p per single or 30p for all day.

Absolutely can't be arsed to get one after reading about them.

pop card wankers

Exactly. Not entirely sure why there’s a need for proprietary technology like pop cards anyway.

Whenever I go to London, on the tube, I just use my contactless credit card. Works out the same as if I was using an Oyster card. Once you hit the daily cap you can ride for free all day. I know everyone doesn’t have contactless, but they are pretty common nowadays.
