The flyby will be safe, and the asteroid, 2012 TC4, will miss Earth – but it gives NASA a chance to test its new ‘planetary defence system’. NASA hopes to use an international network of observatories to track 2012 TC4 – which could pass as close as 4,200 miles or as far away as 170,000 miles.

Can someone tell me if Pluto has been reclassified as a planet/dwarf planet again? I'm having an argument with someone saying it's not a planet.

I dont think Pluto has been formally reclassified as a planet again after it was formerly declassified in 2006.

I'm sure some bloke on the telly reckons we can;t even say with 100% certainty Pluto actually exists and if it does it probably one of hundreds of thousands of similar sized objects within that region of space.
He was in a wheelchair so he must be right
