I know that, however the vast majority of TT in Uk you're not required to have a UCI legal bike.
It would only be the likes of the RTTC champs this would apply to.
For example in 99% of TTs in U.K. the likes of this while not UCI legal are perfectly ok

"Bike. You'll need one of these to time trial. Regulation 14 relates to bikes. UCI bike rules do not apply to CTT time trials."

A knar, I mean if a bike is branded as a "Triathlon" bike, it usually means there's something about it that's not UCI legal. i.e. the P5 is TT/Triathlon, the P5x is Triathlon.

But how many( i.e. the vast majority) are advertised as TT/Tri ...the differences are often incredibly subtle, even down to one having a faring for "storage" while the TT one doesn't.
Buying a tri bike would only bar you from very few events.

Personally I'd go for one with Rocky Mountain frame, Tri Max carbon TT chainset with hed tri spoke on front and disc rear.....;)

I've even got some he can borrow.

Hope they can be flipped to praying mantis position that seems all the trend now.....fuck it if you can't see ahead ;)

A knarrrr, I'm just telling you why some bikes are advertised as 'Triathlon' bikes and not 'TT' or 'TT/Triathlon' bikes.

It is probably the slice ?
If you know anyone wanting a very fast, slippery bike for someone say five foot six to about five foot nine point him in my direction before it goes up on fleabay etc
Will do .

Cannondale slice TT/tri bike
Ultegra groupset with Rotor Q rings
Mavic cosmet wheelset
Adamo attack saddle
Vittoria open corsa CX folding tyres.
Says needs new bar tape and few rusted bolts from storage

Fletch, just buy a bike and stick tt bars on. Learn to walk before you can crawl etc...
 Could never afford to buy bike then replace with even higher spec , wait rip you got kids man  when I get one that’s me done so I need to get decent light racer , if can anyway.

Edit ... ignore that @Cee Jay , just messaged seller to try test bike and it’s sold . Quest goes on

Nee point in buying a 2k carbon bike if you have 50 pence legs. More about the engine

Or as a mate once said. No point spending a fortune trying to save a few oz when you're a couple of stone overweight. I still do it though.

just in the spare bedroom, but nah.
First step is to think/decide to sell it, just need to get arse in gear and get it downstairs etc ;)
had plenty of photo's but these seem to be on old laptop and seem to have disappeared.

One ugly bike the PX5

Even the Falco in earlier posts looks a bit better...

Must get mine down and sold, TT forum first, or see if D.A can get any interest on his bike groups...failing that fleabay

I've got a club mate down here who wanted to buy my TT bike off me. He has family connections in South Shields (skunks unfortunately) for collection and it'll be the right size for him.

Send me the details/photos via email (PM me if you haven't got my address) and I'll forward it to him.

Tell him to fuck off...;)

Will do...had a look at it the other day( in one of the bedrooms so at least not been getting damp/dirty in garage)
It still looks the part, before doing anything I'll take it for a once over from cycleworld as I'm sure the cables could need replacing after 3 years of inaction.
Looking at it almost made me want to blow tyres up and take it for a final spin...a few years since sat on a really fast bike and blasted it( well at least what I would call a blast )

I've messaged him to see if he's keen. I'm off to Mallorca at stupid a'clock in the morning but I'll pass on any messages one way or t'other.
